No thanks. That thing was overhyped garbage. It was like what middle-schoolers imagine mature content to be. Like most of Torchwood series 1.

Another dark take on Power Rangers?

Having the idea and actually getting Saban to go along with it are two totally different things. Even if Netflix approves, Saban will quickly end the project before it even gets off the ground so I don't see this actually happening..which is a good thing, because I'm getting tired of people thinking that PR/Toku needs to pander to the adult crowd. That's not what the series is and it looses it's charm when people make it something it's not. That's why I can't get behind the Bootleg Power Rangers and why I can't get behind this.

Adi Shankar has revealed that he has scripts ready for an animated reboot of Power Rangers, which will be darker and more serialised than the original show.

“It’s a complete retelling of the first three seasons,” Shankar said. “And it’s going to be really f***ing dark. Darker than any other Power Rangers series.”

He has a couple of networks interested, but he wants to produce it through Netflix. What does everyone think of this? It could be quite cool telling a more adult continuing story across a season.
