Not once you get the right setup. False Swipe, Adrenaline Orb, move of your choice on a Pokémon too tough to lose. With Pokérus, you can max out whatever stat you want in less than five minutes.

Isle Evelup is more for custom stat spreads than anything. If you can do basic division, you can set it and forget it, to have that perfectly balanced defensive spread that everyone's talking about.

Ev training in Gen 7 is one of those things that I would call a diagonal step forward. It's different, but I believe it's still improved.

Now if only breeding hadn't gotten some solid iron bars slapped on the front... I mean, I became crazy cat-man, but I still feel like that shouldn't be basically required. Just one free Destiny Knot, like you've had in literally every game since it's introduction. That's all you needed to do Game Freak...

...As I asked before, are you EV training? Breeding isn't strictly necessary for the regular singles, thank God, but it would help.

...Wait, you have Moon version. Use Pheromosa, it's Uber for a reason. Bug/Fighting has pretty good coverage and it's obscene stat spread should win the day. I mean, if you caught all 4 of them, surely you've got a decent nature on one.

I haven't leveled it up yet, I'm still working on getting every available Gen VII/Alolan Form Pokémon Shiny BEFORE I start the leveling up.
