I gave up on Zyuohger around episode 11. Ninninger, while not great in the plot department, at least had individual episodes that were a ton of fun. I just thought Zyuohger was boring. Maybe it's because that's around the time I got into Kamen Rider, making Sentai seem kind of hollow in comparison.

I believe ToQger only gets flak by Americans because America's dumb and doesn't have kids who love trains like Japan and Europe do. Otherwise it'd be much more popular in the fandom

Just out of curiosity, why draw the line after Hurricanger? Does Abaranger (haven't seen it yet) take the CGI a bit too far?

Abaranger's mechs are sentient and usually use practical effects. Not full suits though, just their heads. Either that or CGI stock footage

Well, mostly of the current shows using CGI too far.
