Build will most likely be the last Heisei Rider with Emperor Akihito abdicating and Japan getting a new Emperor .

Which is fitting, considering that Build's successor will debut a few months before the Emperor abdicates - thereby making Build's successor simultaneously the Twentieth Heisei Rider and the first New-Era Rider.

So the rumour of the winter movie having all the Neo-Heisei riders in it was true after all.

So is Akihito actually stepping down? I only heard a while back that he wanted to retire, not that it was officially going to happen. I do find it funny because Tsuburaya said Geed would be the last Heisei Ultraman series and people are freaking out thinking the franchise is ending. |

As for Tsuburaya's statement I can see how some might freak out if they are not informed of the abdication.

If that ends up being the case, I hope they can (at the very least) get all 10 lead Neo-Heisei actors (both Masaki Suda and Renn Kiriyama in the case of W) in the flesh, rather than just have archive audio or fake voices while suited up.

I think its safe to say that's impossible. Masaki Suda, Sota Fukushi(Gentaro's actor), and Gaku Sano( Kouta's actor) alone are far too big to return to Tokusatsu whether they want to or not.
