Yeah there is that cant deny it. But for some reason I loved the show when it was a thing and unlike now it did not bother me too much especially after Ryan went Shaider. And there was Jeb.

i have issues with talking animals that don't serve a purpose -witch familiar or something sure but the dog was more often than not a load -or comic relief and trying to do a bulk and skull with a dog is asking to be kicked in the butt
