Don Armage has prepared a bomb on Planet Southern Cross powerful enough to destroy the entire universe as a fail-safe gesture. Lucky sets out to confront his father & save everyone. NOTE: There will be no new episode next week due to holiday break. SuperHeroTime HAS MOVED TIMESLOTS! You can still view this episode via live stream on Saturday by heading over to Taima TV. They play other miscellaneous programs up until the live broadcast starts. Live Streams of the Superhero Time block now start at 8PM EST on Saturdays! |

Don Armage is an evil version of Tsurugi >_< And it's nice that the other Kyurangers are playing with Lucky's toys. Garu with Gemini and next week, Spada with Mr. Pega Lol.

This was great. Kyuranger handles its somber moments shockingly well and given that Orion died so hard Xiao had to stay in the past to prevent the time-stream going nuts, I feel fairly safe in assuming they won't cheaply undo this later. I mean, they successfully turned よっしゃラッキー!into an emotional gut-punch, so they'd better not ruin that. Also: Quote:

Just a question. Is there a Kyuranger vs Zyuohger movie? The vs movies usually come out in Jan right?

Not going to lie, when I first saw this my first thought was Kefka from Final Fantasy VI. I do wonder sometimes with this show how much of the story was planned out in advance or whether they are just making it up as they go along? If Don Armage wanted to destroy the universe and recreate it in his own image then why has it taken this long for such a plan to go through? Is it just that this is how long it has taken for them to construct a bomb? How much got changed continuity-wise when the Kyurangers went back in time? Also when I saw it live I saw Armage appear over the Black Hole and I thought that he was going to turn the Black Hole plan against the Kyurangers (because it is seemingly established he has god-like abilities), but nope, he's just saying he has "other plans". That would have been such a cool way to progress the story by turning what seemed like the ultimate heroic sacrifice into a completely flipped situation. Missed opportunity there... Still a good episode overall though despite my nitpicks.

Yeah no Kyuranger, after all this crap you can't use this "Yossha Lucky"-garbage in an emotional context. You just can't. Also having Lucky's dad die after all this shit was just boring. Plus, they did it through the good old "One has to stay and do the thing manually"-trope, yawn. Just another bad Kyuranger episode really, that's all there is to it.
