Even with Pokemania over, yeah, Pokemon is still one of the largest multimedia franchises out there, with most kids still talking about it nonstop, not to mention Twitter blowing up upon the reveal of Sword/Shield.

It's not like Transformers, which just had it's target demo during the Unicron Trilogy, then suddenly bursting back into the main eye of everyone who was around for the original who had long forgotten that the franchise existed.

Detective Pikachu is a big budget live action PG rated movie, you are not going to get the same audience that you would from a Michael Bay movie. You have plenty of adults that still like Pokemon. The stigma of being a loser for liking Pokemon as an adult will always exist. No movie is going to change that.

I gotta say that Direct footage was absolutely and entirely unappealing to me.

I didn’t bother playing Sun & Moon or anything beyond and this isn’t getting me excited either.

Happy for those who look forward to playing it though.

I really like the changes being done but I'm not buying it for certain. That being said some details shown off confirm a leak that has plot details, new Pokemon details and evolution details. Also it's honestly sad that NotSif was trending on twitter yet nobody cared about the shield one
