Overall pretty good first ep.

I liked the debut fight's emphasis on Revi and Vice's physical strength with then smashing the Deadmen through a wall as the excuse to change filming locations, or kicking the one of the mook's head along with the wall behind them during the fight.

I also like how the toys are utilized in the the show. Specifically, the fact that both the Deadmen and Ikki can use them in their own way, which means the show can get creative with passing the items back and fourth between factions.

The Fenix guys are totally going to be antagonist or just antagonistic to Ikki at some point. Their soldiers are straight up dressed in the reverse color scheme and motif of the Deadmen mooks (Deadmen goons are all black with bone armor, Fenix soldiers are in all white with tactical gear). I'd be amazed if we don't see them walking around in repainted/kitbased Raider suits later.

Also yeah Switchblade, I didn't notice it during the premier or the trailer, but now that you mention it... that devil statue's definitely H.R. Giger-esque

I havent watched this yet, but kamen rider is a tv show in universe and Vice talks to the audience, could things get meta here?

Also fully looking forward to the majority of these plot points getting resolved by ep 16 as kamen rider is want to do.

No, Rider isn't a TV show in-universe. While that wasn't revealed in the show itself, the Main writer said so during an interview.

Actually I believe I saw earlier this morning in an interview they mentioned that this is just a Rider World where everyone exists in it. And it was also mentioned that the tv show idea was an initial concept but they changed it because they didn't want to confuse kids.

It's honestly a real shame because it being a world where Rider is a TV Show would provide such an interesting perspective I feel? It'd be a lot more better than the standard cookie cutter "Oh they're just all together" excuse.

Revi and Vice relationship really remind me to Ryutaro and his Imajin.....

Revice story is interesting but I personally didn't really care about Legend Rider Form concepts (Mammoth is Den-O, Eagle is Double, etc) in Revice series.

I think Legend Rider Form concepts in Revice series is didn't really special to me because the Zi-O's Legend Riders Armours are still fairly new and I still prefer Zi-O's Legend Riders Armours.

I personally prefer if Revice's Forms are using fully extinct creature motifs without using Legendary Rider motifs.....

If I recall correctly Revice's forms are only aesthetically inspired by previous Kamen Riders and won't actually be able to use their powers; Megalodon Genome only patterns its appearance after Decade and as such Revi and Vice won't be able to use Decade's powers, only Megalodon-based powers.

I'm personally a big fan of mixing legend riders with animals! It makes a great spin on and change from legend rider forms of the past, and honestly animal forms of the past too. I guess the one thing is that this is the first time we're actually getting dino riders and forms, so it's a shame those are mixed in, but... that aside, I'd rather see how they pull off mixing Kuuga with a lion than either of those alone
