Yeah, Hiromi SUPER shot up in my estimation this episode. I didn't realise that he was still essentially an underdog so now I'm rooting for him!

I don't know if I feel like he's a genuinely heroic person. I kinda got a feeling like he'd be similar to characters like Yaguruma from Kabuto or Nago from Kiva. Both of them are presented as heroic, highly admirable at first, but they turn out to have severe psychological issues. The failure potentially can push him into that path too, like Yaguruma being edgelord as KickHopper after his downfall.

I hope not, since I really dislike characters like that. Although Nago did address his flaws after the Time Door arc. Hiromi's heroic declaration before his failed henshin sounded pretty passionate and sincere to me, so for now I'm going to have faith that he's a good person, but an underdog who is probably going to be useless for a while.

it's kinda obvious Hiromi is gonna become the secondary rider (kinda wish we get secondary riders who debut episode 1 that get their powers later who WEREN'T Totally obvious tbf Cross-Z was magazine leaks and I only realized Ryuga was becoming Cross-Z after episode 2)

Actually, Daiji is the secondary. He confirmed it himself in the presscon. Hiromi is still being looked into as well as George, but they're both likely to become riders anyway.

Earthly and Jaws have announced they won't be subbing Revice anymore -- they feel their JP isn't quite up to scratch yet for a year-long show. I'm a bit sad as I didn't feel there was anything wrong with their Episode 1 and I actually really liked what they were bringing to the table, but I respect their decision. This means that for now our options are Genm and Izu

Oh, to be specific, I'm not claiming that Hiromi will specifically turn into an edgelord like Hopper brothers, but that his dark side manifest in different way (and should be true to his established character), like even Yaguruma before his re-appearence already had dark side with his "Perfect Harmony" view that turned him perfectionist but also elitist, prideful, and insane with his obsession to one-up Tendou, making him unworthy of his Zecter. Though of course, if you do think that Hiromi's declaration sound sincere (I don't think passionate necessarily means moral stuff though) to you, I hope that what you'd want for Hiromi come true, as this is just a speculation from me (other than that, his demon being uncontrollable can be a potential dark trait...).

Not Daiji? He was an even bigger candidate for a Rider than Hiromi in Fenix itself.
