Nearly everything you just mentioned is a reason why I love Dekaranger Space baby was annoying but not nearly as awful as I thought it would be. At least the weird character quirks give them personality. As opposed to Shinkenred and the blandrangers. I watched all of Shinkenger and found it almost irredeemably boring.

really? Im like halfway through shinkenger and I love it , maye its because ive only seen goseiger and a few of gokaiger

Same here. I always looked forward to the next Umeko episode, in particular - she was easily my favorite character. The weird thing is she's a character type that I usually dislike: the hyper girl that acts really childish to look cute. Normally I can't stand those characters, but Mika Kikuchi was so good that even things like the space baby episode were really fun.

Exactly how I feel. I thought I was gonna hate her coming into this but she's easily likable. When she started imitating jasmine and they infiltrated the evil restaraunt I was completely sold, I can't believe that episode alone doesn't convince other people. I really thought I was gonna have a tough time liking all of them but they all grew on me. Houji is a great smug dick who softens over time, Jasmine is of course the hottie with depth, Sen is that quirky odd man out, Ban is loud proud and earnest, and Tetsu is a little average most of the time.

One of my favorite bits of the Deka/Magi film was when Tetsu shows up in a dress and Jasmine's reaction is "OMG... wait, why am I surprised?"

I think my next episode is the introduction of Shinken Gold. I've rather enjoyed the show so far. It feels kinda like Double, in that it's a better mix of serious/silly than DekaRanger or Gokaiger felt to me (both of which I watched around 15-20 episodes before giving up).

I will grant that I don't necessarily find the Shinkengers especially interesting, but the stories have been more interesting than those of Dekaranger and Gokaiger.

the shinkengold intro is pretty good, I just got mad how samurai copied every little bit of that episode (and about every other act of shinkenger )
but I cant seem to watch more than one or two episodes without getting distracted and doing something else, yet with goseiger, I watched it nonstop till I finished it

Considering watching Kakuranger. Always wanted to see how different it was from 03, aside from using the Zords in the wrong order and such.
