Cool. I am just begin watch live-action version 2004. Very cheapi n terms of costumes, special effects and action scenes, but the character moments are very strong. The 6th episode brought me almost to tears.

That was an adventure. Like, easy to see why it didn't come to fruition, and it's good we got the dub of the anime instead, but this was alot of fun in its own way.

This is just as cheap, cheesy, and generally awful as I thought it would be, and I love it for that. But even putting aside my own personal love of so-bad-it’s-good stuff, this is a definite win just being a found piece of lost media that a lot of people (including yours truly) probably wrote off as just being lost forever with no hope of recovery. |

I'm curious as to why they initially assumed this would be the better way to go rather than just bringing over the anime. Like, I know this was before the big anime boom in the US (Which was ironically something Sailor Moon helped usher in), but it's not like anime dubs weren't something well known, either. Stuff like Voltron and Samurai Pizza Cats had a modicum of success already

As you wish. http://sailormoonnews.com/2022/08/21...as-been-found/ And am I the only one that noticed that the backstory/plot is eerily similar to Sailor Stars? Which came out a while after this was conceptualized.
