Looks great! Is it getting a US theater release? Or just Japan?

I am beyond excited for this! Hopefully I won't have to wait a full year just to see it, like with Shin Godzilla.

And seeing how much the CGI has improved, I am really happy with how it looks, not the greatest (which is a little par for the course when it comes to Japanese live actions with lots of CGI), but I think it works great in what we've seen.

Also, looks like Zarab and Mefilas are going to be antagonists in this movie, which honestly excites me, moreso than if Baltan or Zetton appear.

I don't actually think this is what's happening, but it would work pretty well if Shin Ultraman is set in the same universe as Shin Godzilla, with the Science Patrol being created in the wake of Godzilla's destruction. Then, Ultraman and these kaiju show up years later, when the Japanese bureaucracy has adapted to be a bit more responsive to these kinds of threats. That would make it a little more optimistic than Shin Godzilla, which would match Ultraman's more kid-friendly tone.

Again, I'm not even theorizing that this is what's happening here. I just think it would be a pretty cool progression of a theoretical "Shin" Tokuverse.

It's already been talked about elsewhere, but I love that there's a Shin Gomess and he's a modified Shin Godzilla. I want to watch this movie aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Exciting that it has a release date now, but I do kind of hate the font that they chose for the title on the cover.

edit: I guess it's the same logo that they used on the US theatrical release and for Shin Godzilla, so uhh...nevermind, my bad
