Plants yes, but that is merely a tiny part of the show

Hell the plants in this show are more akin to the bug people from kabuto has they can take on the form of dead people. Which was a major thing in Kabuto

Ace is Charismatic protag much like Kabuto.

In gaim the plant theme was the theme of the show, but here its merely a small part so its more akin to kabuto and Ryuki
