Bringing the focus back to power rangers though, I also think Hasbro doesn?t put much effort into power rangers as it currently stands because they don?t technically own the designs, unless it?s created by them like cosmic fury. The don?t have full creative control and I think that?s what has hindered them fully integrating the IP into Hasbro full force. I think they will try and basically not do something toei and Bandai of Japan creates and do something completely new and I wonder if contracts are holding them back more than we know.
They also have more control than you give them credit for. Compared to the Disney era, Toei has definitely loosened their grip, letting both Saban and Hasbro mash multiple seasons together for a single show (As well as seemingly no longer hard vetoing any requests for an animated series)

Hasbro doesn't put much effort into PR because they didn't want it to begin with. Only the former CEO wanted it, and when he passed, with him went the last vestige of interest in the brand.

In the end they still need to either make it profitable or sell it off. They could also just let it end. I mean the show as a whole did give us all the closure we could ask for as fans. I?m a day oner and have never stopped watching. So much so to also get my kids into to it to some degree. I?m satisfied with where it ended. Maybe not everyone is but I will be happy to see it not be forced to continue. Reboot? Sure why not. Animated series/movie adaption of comic stories? I?m here for it. Trying to force the show to continue? It?s done. Let it be done. The property shouldn?t stay dead. It just needs to have new life breathed into it.

Haven't had enough time to devote to this, but there are a few points to make.

The post-credits Tommy scene had me excited for a sequel, but sadly I worry that it's been too long now and all the momentum for that movie has faded. Zack's actor is already in his mid-late 30s. It's a shame we never got to see Lord Zedd, Rito Revolto and Master Vile in that continuity.

You're going to have to give me examples of that later point cause I've never heard this being the case. Like sure, sometimes some ideas might be similar, and sometimes they might directly take something like the SPD battlelizer, but otherwise I don't think Toei or any of the creative teams on Sentai cares about what happens in Power Rangers.
Does nobody remember the G-Zord from Timeranger? That was the mecha who canonized the term "Zord" in Sentai long before Go-Busters! The Kyoryuger Spirit Rangers were supposedly inspired by the Jungle Fury Spirit Rangers. Granted, a lot of these are just winks and nods and Toei taking inspiration when and where they can, but it does show that people involved in Sentai aren't always opposed to PR and are willing to give them some kind of credit where it's due. Also, Power Rangers is occasionally dubbed over for the Japanese market and the brand recognition is why South Korean dubs of Sentai use the name. It was "Power Rangers Dino Force Brave" before it was "Kyoryuger Brave"! Just sayin'. Quote:
So far as it stands, there is one 3 (4?) teams of completely PR original teams. The Hyperforce, omega rangers, solar, and I guess the turtles. But none were a tv series. Comics and a tabletop game are far from what Hasbro probably wants to do. Technically toei had been allowing PR to mash seasons together ever since zyu2 so that?s nothing new.
https://www.grnrngr.com/toys/power-r...ing-collection The sheer number of PR-Exclusive Rangers is staggering and much more involved than a handful of exceptions thanks in no small part to BOOM! Granted, some are just variants on top of variants, but the significance of such uniqueness cannot be ignored. What aggravates me about so many of these Rangers is the sheer lack of memorabilia to promote them! Some exist largely as LC figures without any real fiction to back them up, like the Cobra Kai Crossover Rangers. Not even the Hyperforce Rangers have actual figures to their name save for tabletop figurines, and that's an issue that goes back to Saban and Bandai! |

Share the sentiment. I don't think he was ever all that trustworthy to begin with.
Didn't the mods make an April Fools joke a year ago about Lionsgate buying the franchise outright? Maybe the mods were being unintentionally "Simpsons Predict The Future" prophetic! |

If Saban Brands even still existed, I'd absolutely vouch for them getting the show back. Atleast they were all in on it.

Dino charge was the only time the Bandai of America toys were good. Though Bandai of America was being run by Greg during that time. Any time after or before that (where it wasn?t just the Japanese toy which were good) was garbage.

Disagree. The Legacy line still has the best prop replicas we've ever seen. To the point that Once and Always used the Legacy Morphers rather than the Lightning Collection ones.
