I watched this live on TV in Japan after having only seen the first episode when it first aired (so half a year ago) and without enough Japanese knowledge to understand more than a couple of lines. Here are my thoughts:
It felt pretty formulaic, like a mid-series episode where the enemies turn it up a notch but the heroes eventually prevail. I love the mech designs, and that dinosaur-looking one was pretty cool too. At first I thought the orange ranger was the red one, so when it showed orange fighting purple I thought that the revived enemy was actually the purple ranger (I was doing something else while watching so I missed a little bit). Also that poor little car thing didn't deserve to be crunched by everybody holding it ![]()

Somehow this managed to be both the funniest and saddest episode so far, IMO. I was almost expecting some kind of temporary alliance where the Sanseaters just openly hired Taiya to "deliver" Mad Rex's memory back. Maybe that will be how this arc resolves?
I really like the Sanseaters as characters, the "comedic low-ranked villain trio" is a trope I have a soft spot for and they execute it well with their own unique charm.
