Caught up. I enjoyed Episode 40 showing how Jyo's determination to overcome mistakes was a heroic and admirable trait that kids should look up to.
Now for this one: Did Sakito just forget he had super speed? Chassirou's warning shot shouldn't have deterred him at all. Surprisingly, the Captain's not here to represent Gokaiger this time, so we get his No.1 instead, in the same year as the No.1 Sentai. How appropriate. I wouldn't have minded seeing Ahim (shared backstory with Genba) or Hakase (a mechanic whose services would surely be useful) either, but I guess Joe's good enough, as he was a Zangyack before becoming Gokai Blue and can therefore provide unique perspective on the plot's conflict. Unlike Goranger, Go-Onger and ToQGer, it seems that Bundorio is already familiar with Gokaiger, claiming that they're known around the universe. Feels like this is a continuity error, since that would imply that Boonboomger is part of the Gokaiger universe, unlike Zyuohger where nobody knew who Marvelous was. But oh well, I don't expect Gokaiger to make sense. The connection between Boonboomger and Gokaiger is that they're both willing to become enemies of the world, a chaotic trait also shared by Kyuranger, Lupinranger and King-Ohger. Chassirou claims that he has defected to ISA to spare the Boonboomgers this tragic fate. There's a lot of discord on this team, which I guess is another connection to Gokaiger. Taiya creating the gear for BBG, Bundorio's history with the Hashiliens, Sakito starting as an antihero, Genba temporarily leaving and now Chassirou pointing a gun at them. Geez, I have to pity Jyo and Mira, being the only ones who are honest. They don't even bother showing off DX Robo Universe this time. It looks like Byunbyum Mach Robo is about to Gattai with some Gokaiger mecha but then the end result weirdly is just Gokai Oh, like, there's literally nothing left of Byunbyum except for the cockpit being different. Why not just have Gokai Oh show up and fight alongside them both? Surely Toei must've spent a crazy amount of money to bring back Yamada, which they should maybe have saved for 50th anniversary content instead. While I don't exactly care too much about Gokaiger, I thought this crossover was decent, despite all of the nitpicks above. I'm curious to see where the Chassirou plot goes from here, like, is he serious, or could he be fighting the enemy from within? Based on his line to Sakito in Episode 29 implying that he may have lost his parents to the job, his betrayal could be him acting out of fear to protect his friends and trying to take the long and safe road to victory, albeit the one that will inevitably cause the most suffering.

Also, Haruhi Iuchi who plays Taiya and Yuuki Yamada who plays Joe are under Watanabe Entertainment, so huge sentai kouhai and senpai moment no. 2 for Iuchi since Jun Shison who played Right/ToQ1 is still under Watanabe as well if I recall.
