Wonder how you all feel an Order 66 gets played out in Power Rangers?
Let's say a new ranger from a new ranger team ends up becoming the "Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader" of PR due to how much the rules limit him & give him difficulty balancing his life as himself & a ranger and eventually ends up siding with some new enemy executing an "Order 66", how would you envision the list of rangers that'll end up as survivors? I know there was a "Lord Drakkon", but he's just Tommy from an alternate Earth. And there's The Arbiter in the PR Unworthy fan series. But if there was in the main universe, it could give rise to some new generations who'll restore peace to the universe & continue the PR legacy. Anyway, who from MMPR-Cosmic Fury would be the likely survivors? |

There’s no way an order 66 scenario could occur in Power Rangers, for two reasons.
1. The one in Star Wars was specifically a government mandate drawn up in the event the Jedi went rogue and tried to seize power, which was a legitimate concern because they weren’t officially associated with the Senate. Meanwhile, the Power Rangers, while independent, have never done anything to warrant the mistrust that would lead to such an order being issued. 2. The ones who carried it out were clones that were specifically bred to carry it out, trained to counter any moves their opponents might use and had a close enough bond with the Jedi that the latter would never see betrayal coming. Not only is cloning nowhere near advanced to the same level in both real life and the Power Rangers land, most Rangers don’t work with the military and they’re generally shown to be more impervious to damage that would be at best crippling to humans (notably the fact explosions send them flying instead of incinerating the ). So there’s no way the military could possibly cause any damage to the Rangers. |

This is really a more suitable plot for reimagining the Gorengers. It seems like the Black Cross secretly infiltrates the government and declares the Gorengers enemy number 1.
