So, Hoeru finally finds a job that suits him. Or rather, suits him in his current depressed state. I wonder if the mask symbolizes a muzzle? However, even as a waiter, he finds himself drawn into a confrontation with Candle. The persistent opponent, not recognizing Hoeru (after all, this is Inoue's show), explains his principles and pushes Wolf to return to the fight.In fact, Candle stated that losing was better than not participating, which made Hoeru doubt his brother's words. Meanwhile, Kuon decided to eliminate the other four so that nothing would threaten his power over his younger brother. This leads to a spectacular battle, where Garudo's abilities are demonstrated even more effectively than in the previous episode.But the main star of the episode is Gozyukalibur, created by the returning GozyuWoоlf, which helps Hoeru win both in ground combat and in the mech battle.
Also worth mentioning are the statements of the other rangers that Hoeru has no connection with them, but has debts. This is a reference to the first episode and how he became a ranger in the first place. It makes sense at this stage of the show.
By the way, judging by the wound on Kuon's back, he is under the influence of the dark force. This means that the brothers may well make peace, albeit not soon.
And in the next episode, our heroes will experience Showa-style madness. I'm sure I'll like it. Even though Super Sentai peaked in Heisei, the early shows had their advantages that are worth remembering from time to time.

Why does Hoeru only find a job he could've kept when he's at his lowest point though? While it's good to see him in a position to quit instead of getting fired, it's got to suck a little that Tega Sword pressured him to give up something useful for a group of people who admit they're not even completely his friends. Hoeru could've bought so many sausages with the money from that job. But I guess this shows his resilience to make a comeback, not taking the easy way out. Regarding the mask, I believe it's just part of the "delinquent lite" gimmick the owner mentioned. Vice has the same thing.

It's just Hoeru's personality, nothing he can do about it. Even if he runs from the Ring Battle, he can't run from confrontations. Dine-and-dashing is an example of the unfairness he stands against and he takes food theft especially seriously. A guy like that just needs a simple reason to return to the fight, even without a wish to fight for, so it's good that Fire Candle inadvertently gave him what he needed, along with his teammates leveraging his debts to them.

Garyudo can summon Red Rangers and even Final Form Ride them! He really is a better-looking version of Diend, except that Kaito was a little brother.

The ending was a heroic victory for Gozyu Wolf, but a major loss for Leon, as Garyudo took the only Universe Ranger Ring he had.

Kudos to Ryugi for being the first to bring it up, implying that Kinjirou's advice did get through to him after all. Good to know he was at least keeping a tab, even though Hoeru is seldom seen eating food from Tega Sword Village, often watching in envy instead. I guess it makes sense for him though, as he's so conscious about his debts that, like, of course he would strictly limit how much he accumulates. It's his pride as a loser.
