And also how creepy Zeztz sometimes looks, like with the dark shadows enveloping Baku as he transforms, which could just be for the night/dream aesthetic but IMO it looks kinda sinister.
There's also a lot Zero hasn't explained, like where Capsems actually come from, or why CODE has the same name as the agency Baku dreamed about before joining... |

First of all, glad we’re getting the “The dreamer isn’t who we thought it was” out of the way early. Like, I assumed it was the case this episode, I picked up on the clues, my hunch was correct, felt rewarded for that, moving on. No need to hold onto this little twist any longer.
Second, I adore the continuity here. We’re still on the aftermath of one Nightmare materializing in the real world, it really was as bad as they said, it wasn’t forgotten immediately. Third, I enjoy Baku as a character and the show is really good at planting the seeds for his unavoidable identity crisis. Like, imposter syndrome max galore will happen. And lastly, I really, really enjoy the not so-buddy cop duo. They are perfect. And looking at the preview, they will be much, much more involved in Baku’s activities going forward. I’m excited to see how that plays out! |
