My guy... You realize it can't be Toei's fault if their partner company is moving on from funding, right? That's just how business works, rumor or not. People gotta stop immediately blaming Toei over everything.
If it's true, then Sentai needs to find a new partner channel for funding and swap to there or it takes a break and comes back in the future once they're able to do so while Gavan takes over the time slot. If it's not, then Sentai and Metal Heroes possibly get rolled together conceptually for the next installment if THAT rumor proves true. Either way, there are shake-ups going on in the tokusatsu medium right now whether you wanna believe it or not.

And this would be the best solution for everybody. Sentai fans get Sentai, under a new name. Metal Hero fans get Metal Heroes, under a new name. I'm watching Exceedraft right now and honestly, if you give them a Megazord, they'd basically be a Metal Sentai. I think these franchises would be a great marriage and the Reiwa Era seems like a great time for it, with all the improvements in suit design, settings and CGI.

Because... it's their job. To report news.
And why are you getting mad at the journalists? Even if this wasn't reported, Toei and TV Asahi would still be moving on from Super Sentai and the only difference would be that we wouldn't know about it yet. |

Tsuburaya is attempting to renew their Koseidon trademark.
https://ukiyaseed.weebly.com/ukiyase...idon-trademark In normal circumstances, this would belong in its own thread or the "Ultraman Discussion Thread", but isn't the original sometimes referred to as "Kyoryu SENTAI Koseidon"!!! If Toei and TV-Asahi really are shelving Sentai for the time being, is this opening doors that were previously closed off for Tsuburaya? I always did wonder why there was never greater conflict between Toei and Tsuburaya over the fact that they both used the phrase for Zyuranger and Koseidon respectively. Food for thought, at least. |

As far as I know, names like these that have generic meanings can't be patented. This includes nicknames like "Bee," "Ripper," and so on. Otherwise, too many legal red tapes would arise.
