I'm looking forward to X & Y alot. I won't know who I'll start with until I see the final forms of the starters.

Ugh, not a huge fan of genetics/DNA related storylines. It feels too unnatural and sci-fi-ish, while I've always appreciated the more mythical aspects of Pokémon. I've never been a big fan whenever Pokémon touches genetics, such as in Mewtwo or in the fossil resurrections. I was even uncomfortable with the item fusing Kyurem with either Reshiram/Zekrom being called DNA Splicers.

Of course, I remain open-minded about the story and look forward to it nonetheless.

The problem with storylines involving genes and etc is that they tend to get overcomplicated way too quickly.
Gen 1 alleviated this problem by having Mewtwo and the cloning and etc be all side story that didn't go too far into detail. I can't imagine how it would be handled here...

Yeah, it was in the Pokédex, with a sense of mystery and allure. I also liked how the movie used it as a motivation for his actions rather than as the main plot for the story.

Again, it could be great, and I'm really hoping it is.

Never again.

I know lots of the more competitive players just like to hack perfect Pokemon into their games, but that's even worse.

EV-training is way crazy. That's just EV-training! Not to forget, breeding, calculating IV's, etc. I never bothered with the IV thing, I didn't play video games to learn math.

Yeah, hacking just gives hackers an unfair advantage.
