If you want to watch a gonzo Heisei tokusatsu by Toshiki Inoue, Cutie Honey: The Live is an interesting experience. Just keep in mind that it's a late night show with a lot of ecchi elements.

I also really like the Showa tokusatsu Message From Space: Galactic Wars, although it is technically one episode longer than the length range you requested. It's a Star Wars ripoff, but I actually like it more than Star Wars.

Yeah I've heard that. I'm actually trying to get through the old Ultraman stuff before I check out anything new, but I'll definitely keep that in mind for when the time comes.

I don't mind ecchi elements/nudity as long as they're not like...overwhelmingly awkward or the plot seems like an excuse to show it. I've read the Cutie Honey manga, if you're familiar, how does it compare?

27 episodes? I mean, that could be fine haha. Star Wars ripoff sounds fun.

Most of the Garo stuff fits that description. The exceptions are things like the two Zero miniseries that come in even shorter.

It's slightly over the limit, but Kamen Rider Hibiki is only 29 episodes.

I've been wanting to get into Garo lately, never saw any of it but it seems cool. Plus, more Nashiko Momotsuki (I love her haha)

You could do it that way. There are three separate Garo "universes," though, and you could also focus on just one at a time (chronologically, you'd be hoping back and forth a lot).
