hi hi!
Sauri back at it again after rising from the deep blue sea. Zeztz has been wonderful so far! my theory is this: ![]() 2 was like Supervisor of Sieg? What if... what if the one that got her preggy was Sieg's nightmare. Wouldn't Nemu be their kid? Is that why his standby is "Face Your Sins"? Just a theory... albeit a stupid one haha

So when episode 25 dropped, an audio commentary for episodes 1-3 of Zeztz released on TTFC (with producers Hideaki Yanaka, Yosuke Minato and prop master Ririko Shinjou) where they dropped a ton of interesting information and clarification on stuff from those first 24 episodes. Here are some highlights that I thought were interesting:
- Baku's premonition isn't exactly as it seems since it's from his subjective perspective. Part of the reason why Nox and CODE where so shadowy & mysterious and why we never got a 100% clear answer on them was because that was the extent of Baku's knowledge on them (Takahashi wrote the first 24 episodes with Baku's subjective perspective in mind). I think that this also means that while the broad strokes of the premonition were accurate, it's the finer details that were muddied by Baku's perspective - This is also why Zero appeared as a shadowy figure in episode 1, it wasn't just an artistic choice, He appears that way because Baku doesn't actually know what he looks like. (This does make me wonder if this extends to why we never learned full extent of CODE's plans or why CODE: Somnia was never named dropped in the first half of the show, it never comes up because Baku doesn't know what that is). - The hand that's bathed in light that drags Baku into the Zeztz command room in episode 1 is played by Nem's actress however they're quick to clarify that that doesn't necessarily mean that it was Nem herself that dragged him in. - The reason Nox was an elite vagueposter the entire time in the first 24 episodes was for two reasons: the first is that the Lady is monitoring him in the dream world so tries to give info a roundabout way in hopes that he'll understand what he's trying to say. (I imagine combined with Baku's subjective perspective thing it made it even MORE vague than what it would've actually have been) - They mention that Baku really wasn't all that unlucky in the first 24 episodes (outside of the occasional gag) however the bad luck he received for being a superhero and helping all those people was his death in episode 24. Also this will be brought up eventually. - They discuss how it's likely that Nox chose Fujimi to be infected with the Bomb nightmare in hopes that Fujimi could help Baku out in the long run. -It's mentioned that there's a story involving Nox, Fujimi, and Nasuka that has yet to be told (looking forward to that). |
