I've seen those statements and honestly, I wouldn't put too much stock into them. I think they were more just a fun thing that was said about the shows rather than an indictment of them. Like the shows still contain all the hallmarks of the Ultra series, just with their own twist, it's not like their entire purpose was to build up to a "now the real Ultra show starts here" moment.

Here's a thought I just had. Reiwa Ultra Q. It could be a side project that does its own thing apart from this year's upcoming Ultraman show starring previous Ultraman show alumni.

I’m totally here for this. A grounded, eerie Reiwa Ultra Q would be the perfect "dark" counterpart to the high-energy celebration of the 60th anniversary. We’re definitely overdue for some "weird" tales that don't necessarily end in a three-minute slugfest.

Just finished my Ultraman Z rewatch both in Japanese and in English and the show itself is still Ultra Peak.

Never watched the Regulos Backstory Miniseries, but I did rewatch the Destined Crossroads again.

When are we gonna get a conclusion to The Kingdom and Absolute Tartarus? What about that Lord he kept mentioning?

Been watching the new New Generation Stars season and so far, it's been neat. The main attraction is seeing Z interact with all the post Z ultras. So far, he's met Arc and Blazar, which was really cool to see.

Honestly this might be the best New Generation Stars season.

I mean yeah they're promoting a new toy but it's wild to think they filmed a ton of original fight footage of Omega using Gamedon Armor. Not to mention the brief stuff we do get of kind of fights like in the latest episode.

Also it's wild and funny to me that the way Arc and Blazar end up getting introduced to the wider Ultraman multiverse is via Z in a clipshow season lol

... I wasn't expecting a follow-up to Omega's final episode in New Generation Stars S4. But this season is just breaking every kind of boundary it seems.

There's some original fights, we get lore continuations with Ultras we haven't seen in a hot minute. Z actually introducing multiple Ultras to the wider multiverse, etc.

But yeah. Kind of wild that while it may have been a long time in universe. It hasn't been even a year for us and we already have Sorato and Kosei split up. Because it seems like Ultras can only have one person at a time post-series if they have hosts. Kosei and Sorato's see you later is a really nice touching scene and I'm glad we got it somewhere and not in a stage show like the Haruki and Z parting. Anyway, it is exciting to learn that, yes because Gamedon transcends dimensions that means if Omega equips it, he can do that too. So now him and Z are just gonna go around and meet Ultras cause Omega is just really excited at the prospect. And we're also now switching points of view to Geed who is visiting Ribut and Regulos. And apparently according to the screenwriter we're getting into the Absolutian Arc which uh, wild if we're going to continue that in this clipshow season of all things.

Big spoiler wall aside. I have also noticed they've been reuploading the episodes and they don't seem to be vanishing like the first releases either. Wild to think that this is the season they start doing it with, but nice to know that these interactions and moments will be kept up and online now.
