I never understood LARP. But then I've never been able to find a good one, that wasn't some tubby kid (I can say that being tubby myself) standing alone in the woods yelling "THUNDERBOLT!". With no real story or meaning.

I've actually been writing up a tabletop system inspired by a mixture of Garo and Hibiki. It's not quite ready for beta testing yet, though.

That sounds neat. Are you working on the story or the actual mechanics?

Mostly the mechanics so far. I've kind of been procrastinating my way through the spellbook, which is kind of boring, tedious, and really highlighting how crap I am at naming shit.

I've got a pretty decent skeleton for the story, too, though. Once I run this through some tests and refining I'll likely try to get it published.
