I can't remember if I posted on here or not, but I'm going to again regardless with an updated list then. (And because I don't know all the sentai names for these people, I'll replace them with the american name where I can)

-Sixth/Other-

Gosei Knight - Flawless in every detail. From the lion helmet, to the armor, to his damned weapon. And then they made him a Captain Planet Robocop for the adaptation... *Just sighs*

King Ranger - Never seen OhRanger, and I don't have to in order to know that suit is amazing. The striking black with the starke gold, yes, the weapon, yes. Everything about it is yes.

Gokai Silver - Absolutely loved his design. They made it just different enough to be a Sixth, but just the same so he didn't look out of place. Which is harder than it looks. Just look at Green Mask.

-Teams-

Maskman - A new love of mine, I admit. But the designs are so crisp and clean. .. Though I'm still trying to understand the earrings on Pink and Yellow.

Goseiger - And this surprises no one, so moving on.

Kyoryuger - Again, surprised? No?

1.) Gokaiger(Freaking Pirates how could I not love this. Every time I see this suit in Super Megaforce I cry over what could have been)

Here's my top five:

1. Dairanger

The helmets look SO DOPE. The gold highlights are all very good, and Kibaranger has maybe my favorite suit in all of Super Sentai. I only wish that the cover of the Shout! Media DVDs had the Dairangers in their suits. Wouldn't seeing the White Ranger sell more product!?

2. Gokaiger

I like how much black is in each suit, balancing out the colors very well. Helmets and visors look cool too, but really it's about the abundance of black and those fly jackets. Silver's changes (the "bandana" helmet and different jacket collar) also look great.

3. Turboranger

I hate when suits are too much of the main color, because then they look like PJs. Turboranger's yellow and black highlights and white torso streaks are great color balance. Belts and helmets look great too. My favorite 70s/80s suits by a longshot.

4. Go-Busters

The pleather looks good, making it distinct from other shows and communicating that each of them is a pilot, sorta. The helmets are decent, and the black and silver in each uniform is great for color balance. Makes me want to watch more of the series, heh.

5. Zyuranger

The white checkered pattern is a really good color balance, and the helmets are distinct and nice-looking. I might be informed my MMPR nostalgia, but I think that Zyuranger's kits look great. DragonRanger's gold armor is baller and I wish that the whole team could've worn them at some time. (Only Red does, right? I haven't seen much Zyuranger)

Honorable mentions:

Gingaman - Charlie Brown stripes!
Shinkenger - the "samurai robe" design on the front RULES and I like the black pants
Jetman - good helmets and color balance, better on the women than the men
Kyouryuuger - I don't love jagged edges, but the yellow and black splashes are excellent ideas. I'd probably rank it in my top five if it was less... toothy?

Special Bonus

Gekiranger - I love Gekiranger as a show, but I hate the red, blue, and yellow suits. Yeah, I know it's supposed to be influenced by Bruce Lee in Game of Death, but they look like jammies with an overabundance of the main color with no belt and not enough black. By contrast, I think Violet and Chopper both look AWESOME and I wish the entire team had suits that good.

It made me look at all of my favorite sentai costumes, and that lead to me dropping $100 on Figuarts.

Since January 2014, my faves list has evolved a bit... Here we go...

1. Gorenger - It's impossible to overstate how well-designed and influential these suits are. The helmets are kind of big, and the construction isn't as polished as modern sentai -- but these suits are brilliant in every other way. I'd love to see a more streamlined take on the suits using modern materials (fingers crossed for a Superhero Year: Gorenger movie).

Top 5 Suits:
5. Go-Buster. I never finished this series and I'm most certainly not a fan, but I've always loved the more militaristic designs some Sentai use. Go-Busters captured it excellently, and the suits are probably the prime reason why I'd even give it a second chance. 4. Zyuranger. Further adding to the pantheon of series I've never finished, the Zyuranger suits are some of my favorites. Yes, I know them as Power Rangers, but it doesn't make them any less well designed. While I haven't been the biggest fan of white accents (I think black makes their primary color pop more), and the white is extremely prominent on the Zyuranger suits, it still looks great (Possibly because the white plays a larger part, being [color] and white, rather than [color] with some white).

3. JAKQ. I know so little about this series it's embarrassing. However, I love love love those suits (Pun not intended), so much so that I'm hoping for another card themed Sentai just so I can get suits like those again. The visors in the shape of their card suit, the sash that physically pins their card suit to their, well, suit, and dem capes~

2. Gekiranger. The greatest series also features some of the greatest costumes. They're unique, with the lack of a belt making their costumes one piece, giving them a design that easily sets them apart from other series. They're also quite simple, which works to their advantage. It makes watching them in action grant a greater sense of fluidity, and I can't get enough.

1. Kakuranger. Fucking ninjas. How could you go wrong? *Looks at Ninja Storm* Well...You can't go wrong with these suits! *Looks at Alien Rangers*...You know what, you still can't go wrong. I loved the Kakuranger suits so much that I sat through Alien Rangers during initial airings and reruns just to see those glorious, glorious costumes. The ninja motif is simple, with hints of various colors, but not to the point of making them look cluttered. Their symbol on their chest looks great, and their helmets are all unique without altering the silhouette.
I can't get over how well the Kakuranger suits were designed.

Honorable Mentions: Gaoranger, Dekaranger, Jetman, Maskman

Top 5 Individual Suits:
5. Red Falcon (Liveman). I absolutely love the design of Red Falcon. The helmet is designed great, I love the simple falcon emblem on his chest (Being a white outline), and it all looks great. I would put the Liveman team on the honorable mentions, but I felt Red Falcon's design was the only noteworthy one.

4. Black Knight (Gingaman). That design was so gorgeous that I'm disappointed it came from a series with such ugly suits. Outside of the double visor Black Knight rocks, I don't have any real issues with it. The horns also found a nice little ratio, not being too small to look like nubs, and not being too big to be ridiculous. Add in a badass cape and a bitchin' sword, and you have one hell of a design.

3. Kurojishi Rio (Gekiranger). Antagonist of Gekiranger, but honorary Gekiranger nonetheless, making him an "Other" hero. I can't get enough of that suit. Like, at all. It contrasts well with the Geki suits, being highly detailed and more armored, but still just as mobile.

2. KyoryuGold (Kyoryuger). I am not a fan of the Kyoryuger suits. However, Gold's design, while using the same conventions of his allies, has it better off simply because the gold and silver combo just looks better. His Gabrichanger adds to his look, and the wings are nice additions to his design over the others.

1. Gosei Knight (Goseiger). His introduction gave me whiplash, but his design is solid. I love armored rangers, and Gosei Knight had the knight look down pat. The lion motif is great, and while his legs were a bit wonky with how the armor hanged off a bit too far, it's not a deal breaker and it doesn't take away. Gosei Knight looks amazing.

Honorable mentions: Titanium Ranger (Not included since the thread specified "Sentai" designs), TimeFire (Too closely resembles TimeRed), Geki Violet (Not included since I included Gekiranger in the general suits, and because Violet (And Chopper) are treated as main team members and not 6th/additional rangers, I felt it'd be cheating to add Violet), KingRanger (I love that suit, no doubt. It'd likely be here if I didn't include Red Falcon and only used 6th/Extra/Other rangers on the list), AbareKiller (So close, but just didn't make the cut).

I'm sliding Go-Busters off as I really enjoy Dairanger's design, so it's becoming my number 5.
Dairanger has quite a bit of white, but I feel it's used well. Their helmets are beautifully designed with the golden crest and the Chinese styling makes it just look all the better.

I'm also putting Maskman in my honorable mentions, just because they look so sleek and cool.

Magiranger has my favorite suits in general, I think, for the team. Individually I think Go-On Silver may be my favorite...I haven't really seen much of the suits themselves in action, so I dunno.
