This may surprise you, but that's not the reason I consider ESB to be my definitive Luke.

W is missing paint on his gaia memories and some of his body is missing paint too. His figure is almost 5 years old and it's time for a renewal for him. While W is not a horrible figuart but he needs a upgrade though. Not to mention the original W has those old metal feet which makes him feel heavy compare to the figuarts from 2011 - now.

Some complain that his v-fin is too large, and that it just sits flat on his head as opposed to being angled back, and the black joints look rather poor, and the Gaia Memories aren't painted in. They don't bother me personally, but those are the issues people have pointed out with Double/W in particular. As for OOO, I have no idea. I only own TaJaDoru, and I see no issues with him in terms of looks.
Again, with Vader, I don't get what is inaccurate. The buttons are clearly the ones from ESB/RotJ as the pictures show. How is that inaccurate? Anyway, I'm surprised Broly is such a huge seller. I can't believe that many people are willing to buy a pathetic movie character that had no development whatsoever. Well, whatever, hopefully it will get us Nappa now. |

Thessair has pointed out exactly what is inaccurate, with explanations and pictures as evidence. if you don't see or don't care about them that's fine, same with Double, but these inaccuracies exist.

In this particular case... These nitpicks are actually pretty far... This is ROTJ Vader, plain and simple.

Here are two shots of the SHF:
![]() ![]() Belt Boxes: ![]() The closest to the SHF here are the ESB/RotJ boxes. That makes sense since this is supposed to be the RotJ Vader, as evidenced by the bonus display base and the missing hand. However, not one single button is placed properly here. They don't match up at all. It's pretty self explanatory. ![]() And it's right. The red lights are slightly more centered in the SHF, okay, but I hardly thing that minuscule of a difference is worth any level of complaint. Quote:
Chestbox:
![]() The chestbox, on the other hand, is some sort of bizarre Frankenstein. The large rocker switches at the bottom are in the configuration of ESB/RotJ, but they are solid colors, like ANH/RotS. They are lacking the proper black outer coloring of the ESB/RotJ pieces and the silver sliders in between. Additionally, the upper and lower colored panels in the upper right are blue and red, per ESB/RotJ, but are also missing the sliders. The Aurabesh text is missing for a proper ESB/RotJ. The rod detailing is also incorrect for any version of the unit. ![]() Quote:
Cape Chain:
![]() The cape chain is probably the most inaccurate piece, not matching up to any version of the character. Quote:
Edit:
I also forgot to mention that the Vader figure is being reported as ~155mm in height. Converted, that comes out to about 6'1" or so. David Prowse alone was 6'5", not counting the additional height from the costume pieces. Vader, of all characters, is undeniably an incredibly hard character to get "perfect" because his suit changes so much. This is still insanely accurate. There are inaccurate Figuarts like W, and then there is this. They aren't actually that comparable, if you have to go such inane levels to make a case. It's not "perfect" for that, no. But I hardly think you can write it off as not good enough, which would seem to be the intent of this level of analysis.

So, in short: I actually kind of agree with Kain on this one. Regardless of inaccuracies or no, I actually find myself looking forward to a Star Wars toy in a long time, so as long as we're getting general Figuarts quality here, I'm not complaining. Unless Amiami gyps me the Window, in which case I'm gonna go Operation Knightfall on their offices.

Jesus Christ. I never said it was not good enough. The first thing I said was I love the figure, but it was inaccurate. I was asked for details and I gave them. I was asked. I didn't come out of the gate swinging and kicking your fucking puppies. It is an inaccurate figure. Period.
If the rest of you take issue with what he has to say (even though you asked him to say it, asked him for proof which he provided) then just get over it. You wanted physical evidence of inaccuracy of which there is a mountain, and now you're all dismissing him and getting on his case for doing exactly what you asked of him. So just stop now. The figure IS inaccurate, end of story. If you choose to look over those inaccuracies and buy the figure that's fine. No one says you can't. But requesting proof of the inaccuracies and arguing that the figure doesn't have it's issues despite being provided actual photo evidence, then jumping on the person you asked to do it in the first place, will not go unnoticed. So knock it off now.

I didn't ask for anything. All I did was provide counter cases, with photo evidence, for why some may not be inaccuracies (notably the belt). Why does that need to be ignored?
--- ^Written before your edited-in second paragraph. Fine, whatever. Will drop it.

I'm not surprise that Broli is a huge seller since he's very popular in both America and Japan. I'm just surprise that he is selling well in Japan when DBZ figuarts in Japan don't seem to be that popular. Since we are likely to get SHF Avengers Hulk soon then Nappa is likely at this rate.
