Oh interesting. But as usual: Spoilers ahead for people who haven’t watched these shows.
I would rewrite Hiyori’s character, or rather the stories involving her, to feature her in a more active way. She’s interesting, her whole story is interesting, but in the end she’s just a trophy for Tendou to fight over. Like, later on appears a worm who has forgotten that she is a worm and the story involving her is so good. Why can't Hiyori have something like that? Why does Tendou prove for Hiyori that she can live as a worm, why can’t she do it herself? She should find her own judgment, her own will to live. But instead they shove her off into the end of time and she stays there for way too long, and when she comes back she isn’t doing a whole lot either. Also, the Hopper Brothers. I think they’re pointless. Yaguruma does not work as this Goth-type of character, no way in hell. Kageyama of course, he’s a turncoat who does whatever he thinks works will work, but I don’t get how even this asshole of character can become such a loser. It does not work, at all. We also never get an explanation to where the Hopper Zecters come from and why they have no Masked form. I would’ve scrapped both of those, maybe had them as movie Riders, and instead just killed off Kageyama and have Yaguruma return as TheBee. Last, Dark Kabuto. He's a very interesting character that isn’t doing enough. They should've featured him more as what he really is - a guy forced to transform into a Native who then copies Tendou and is experimented on to create the Hyper Zecter. Let him seek out his origins, meet up with characters who don’t already know Tendou and let him have his own realization to what he really is. Because his end is epic and I wished I would’ve cared for him more in order to feel more invested in his death. Just a good villain / end game would’ve done it. Kai is a joke. And also, the whole thing with second Yuto from the future never gets wrapped up in a satisfying way. I still don’t fully understand what all this stuff with him and Ryotaro’s sister was all about. Time traveling shenanigans done bad IMO. Which is a shame because the drama with the other Yuto having to fight using other people’s memories of him as a currency was really good. The thing that always confused me and I would’ve changed is that the whole story with Akiko’s dad. In the earlier episodes Philip asks Shotaro if they should tell her about what happened to her dad. Who’s dead? Or not? Skull? I don’t know, Movie War Core left the impression on me that he is dead when the show takes place and I assume that’s the case for the sake of this comment. Anyways, Shotaro struggles with telling Akiko the truth. Then it is never spoken of again, until the episode where the former client of Akiko’s dad comes over to the agency. He asks where his friend is and Akiko tells him he’s dead. Huh? Why does she know all of a sudden? Shotaro never told her, and it doesn’t happen in any movie I’ve seen that could take place between the episodes either. So yeah, that’s good drama wasted right here. Why should Shotaro worry about not telling her and then later she already knows? Completely pointless. The other thing is probably the ending, yes call me a heretic but I would’ve preferred it if Philip would’ve stayed dead. The whole tragedy of the last few episodes was wasted on me because I knew they wouldn’t have the guts to roll with it. Shotaro becoming Kamen Rider Joker and protecting Futo alone in the memory of his partner would’ve been the better ending. And how Philip comes back is bullshit too. Wakana gives him his body? Huh? Then why does Philip look like Philip and not like Wakana? I mean she has similar powers as Philip by the end of the show but it’s never explained. So should I assume she used her Clay Doll powers to shape her body to look like Philip? Because I really don’t want to. Okay, aside from the obvious stuff (Make Haruto an actual character, tone down Rinko & Shunpei, have a real threat as enemies and not puppets for Fueki who serve no real purpose) I always felt like they really wasted Phoenix. When I watched the show for the first time I thought Phoenix could become an ally. The episode where Rinko searches through Phoenix’s past and the scene in the rain where Phoenix realizes that he’s been played with are so good. In fact, that scene with Phoenix screaming in the rain is probably the best shot in the entire show. And they knew that, because they repeated it like three times. So I hoped that with everything we’ve learned Phoenix would go on a journey to be his own master and learn more about himself and in turn, help Haruto and co. against Fueki. But nope, he just likes to destroy things and gets killed by Haruto anyways. Sigh. Such a waste. Which perfectly sums up the entire show for me: A huge waste. |

And you know what? Not that bad if you mix tuna and bacon morsels as well as some chopped onions. Not kidding. It goes well with eggs that one and only time I tried.

Because his end is epic and I wished I would’ve cared for him more in order to feel more invested in his death. The Hoppers would've been Worm-made instead of Kageyama & Yaguruma being all "gothy" for being useless. The Worm queen would make them servants to her cause as revenge on ZECT and humanity. As for Kabuto, I want Kagami to take his place at the end. And if something happens to Kageyama, Yaguruma will avenge him and become Gatack. Renge would be a useful rider as KR Tento. The Native would've been allies instead of an enemy. Mishima would've allied himself with the Worm in secret. Quote:

The Phantoms would've been mythical creatures forgotten in time and no longer exist. Maybe demons. |

Good point. Beelzebub for example.
But how would you all make the Phantoms & Imagins a menacing threat? We got Ryuki's Mirror Monsters & Blade's Undead. Faiz's Orphenoch disappoint me due to the king still alive. Kabuto's Worm don't have a leader and saddening the Native to be the enemy at the end. Like the king, they could've added a queen. Another question... how would you rewrite Kiva entirely? Wataru was the worst hero who can't stand up to a fight and has to rely on Kivat. And this whole timeline thing is so confusing. Including Den-O, Ryotaro can't fight for himself relying on his "Imagins". |

Well, the Phantoms and Imagin are menacing threats. They just weren't utilized properly, which were the problem.
