I wouldn't know, I never watched that movie. Because Kiva. Keitaro's ironing board would have been a better Rider than Mihara. |

Also, I'd like to add Sasword as well.
Not that I hated Tsurugi, in fact, I felt that he was a nice contrast to the rest of melodrama going on when he actually developed a character outside of being Tendou rival #23. But it seemed like towards the tail end of Kabuto, they just didn't know what to do with him so they basically made him a joke character that never did anything and then by the time they finally decided where to take his story, he doesn't even transform into Sasword anymore. It's absolutely criminal that the two best Rider designs in Kabuto IMO (TheBee and Sasword) were just tossed to the side abruptly in a way that I feel is almost worse than simply having a terrible character don the suit. |

I'd rather have seen the Mage and Element Style costumes blurred together, with the show having four core Rider's throughout. Haruto could have been the Flame Mage, Mayu the Land Mage etc etc

The worst thing about the mage suits for me, wasn't their identical design with different colours like a sentai team but within the context of the story, it made absolutely no sense. Why have they got the four element Wizard... as created by White Wizard, then the three element Mages? Perhaps estimate to the ultimate waste of designs, is when you're questioning their very inception in the first place.

I would assume it's because Fueki didn't want them to become too powerful. He let Haruto have essentially unlimited magical abilities and it ended up with him creating his own Infinity Ring, which was not part of the plan. By limiting the other three he prevented the possibility that they might all unlock stronger abilities and overpower him when it came time to strap them into his magical ritual thingy.
I LOVED Wizard, but I found the last ten to fifteen episodes mind boggingly dumb as shit came entirely out of left field, to go nowhere and never get properly explained and otherwise great concepts introduced and snatched away sometimes within the same scene. Blah.

I've always felt Kabuto was the worst offender as series that wasted amazing Rider designs. Some of my favorite designs come out of that show, but the show itself is just so...underwhelming that everything feels wasted in there. There's a sense that the head writer didn't care for anyone who wasn't TheBee, Kabuto, or Gattack, leaving the other Riders to get tossed around sporadically. It's such a shame when you have great designs like Sasword and Drake and just never do anything meaningful with them.
Kabuto was one of those shows that had everything going for it and then completely drops the ball. The head writer is a guy who doesn't care too much for toys, and it's good that he prioritizes his story over the toys, but at some point you need to realize what you're working with. He should have known from the start that Bandai would be giving him all of these Riders and should have begun finding better ways to use them in his stories. Instead we get this revolving door of great Rider designs and interesting characters who never really do anything interesting when they're around or matter to the plot at hand. This is one of the reasons I'm so glad we have such a talented writer on Gaim. In the hands of someone who didn't care as much, we would have a show with a slew of inconsequential Riders. |

Dark Kiva has a great design, but it's original user in the past is incredibly boring and despite being the reason Kiva is so feared in the present he did almost nothing threatening or relevant as Dark Kiva.
Out of the other two users Otoya used it well. |

Since Fueki witnessed Wizard's Infinity style, if only there was a way for him to take advantage of that form.
If he'd had stolen the infinity ring from Haruto, he would've given some other chosen mages the same power as Wizard. That would've been better than having the same Mage suits. After all Mages are only riotroopers. |
