Part 4.
This episode sucked in Megaforce, and wasn't much better here, but there were subtle differences here and there which made the Goseiger version much more tolerable. It is also weird the Megaforce version left Datas out as Saban usually loves that shit. But let's talk about Datas. What the hell logic is Master Head working on? He leaves a arcade machine, in an observatory, in the vague hope that there is an emergency and Gosei Angels are nearby? Why would he even use an arcade machine?! I will say that I am enjoying the character development in this show, the strong character development really does help convince us it's them in the suits as well. This is especially true of Alata, who if he continues on this path, will be my new favourite Red. And Takeru is a hard man to beat. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the villains in this show. They take everything I liked about them in Megaforce and just make them ten times more awesome. Did you know Buredoran derives from the Japanese pronunciation of Blade Runner? When a villain is named after your favourite movie, you know you have found a soul mate. Right it's almost 2am, so bed for me, but I'm four episodes down, thirteen episodes left to go. And four episodes in, I'm extremely positive! It's got strong characters, great action and cool mecha, I just hope the storytelling improves over the next thirteen episodes and even if not, if it continues like this I'll be hungry to see Goseiger through to the end.

Goseiger Epic 14:
This episode was good. I liked seeing Hyde and Moune together as they work off each well and was a nice way to get the moral of the episode across. Now I believe that I am nearing the end of the "War Star Arc" and I must say I have enjoyed the series up until this point. The cast is likable and unlike some other sentai shows (looking at you Kyoryuger) every member serves their role and no one is forgotten. Plus the villains thus far have been interesting, Buredoran especially (Sentai I think I now understand what you saw in Fury now) and although they're doing the "Take over the world because evil" thing the War Star definitely seem threatening enough to come of as something for the heroes to face... Can someone remind me why everyone hates this show again? |

Part 5.
Much like the other episodes, Goseiger is just sorta like if Megaforce had plot and characters, I didn't realise how much Megaforce had stuck to Goseiger, and how much it had watered it down, until now. I certainly think Warstar have much more menace than the Megaforce versions, which made this episode feel a lot more twisted, in the best kind of way. So does that mean all of Warstar's footsoldiers were people once? That is gonna make the rest of the show feel kinda fucked up... I do like little nods to character, like Agri waves that axe around like it weighs nothing, and obviously Hyde assumed as much. Then he picks it up and it's heavy as dicks, and Hyde realises Agri is more badass than he lets on. It's just a shame that I'm really starting to notice how the suit actors heights and builds are all wrong. Seaick Brothers for the win! This robo was even better than it was in Megaforce. I hope it gets used more than it did in the other show, I actually think it was only used once in Megaforce. Also man that chick Hyde saved was HOT.

Agri and Hyde are easily two of the baddest ass Sentai characters in a while. And Moune and Alata is right there with them. And now you see the problem with Megaforce. I like Megaforce. But it watered down so much of the goodness in Goseiger because they had to fit a 50 episode run in 24. Plus pepper in Gokaiger footage. |

Yes! I love Gia, I do. But she loses like a foot of height every time she becomes Megaforce Yellow, because Moune is a little thing. Also a better actress. And more attractive. And just better... .. I'm gushing again aren't I?

But yeah, I'm loving the Goseiger's, the only one I don't really care for is Eri as there really is nothing to her yet, beside being sort of like Alata with a skirt on. Moune! *_* I didn't like Megaforce, watching the original makes me like it even less.

The suit actors aren't quite right for Goseiger either I'm noticing. There is a considerably height and build difference between Agri and Hyde which vanishes as soon as they transform. And that is not mentioning the bulging muscles Alata gets when he transforms

You'll understand why I wanted RoboKnight to die a horrible acid bath death. |

With everyone watching Goseiger... I finally got to continue my rewatch, so far, I've been watching Ep. 13-16. Ahhhh, it's been so long... all those FEELS ;_; But there are some funny things to notice as well. For example in one episode (don't read if you haven't watched it to the end, cause this is kinda spoiler-ific) Buredoran appears with the Goseiger's detransformation soundeffect. Someone say again that him being in the finale feels forced....
I feel more and more like doing my Eri cosplay...But I guess that won't happen until 2005, especially the GoseiPink suit. I'm too busy with what I planned for this year.... |
