This would apply to Power Rangers too. Why don't the villains of the series ever send the full might of their forces to destroy the Super Sentai until the finale? They send monster after monster of the week, why not send 20 monsters of the week at once?
Of course, we know this is convention to lengthen a TV show, but I'd like to hear how we as fans can reason the above out. It would make for fun speculation and discussion. ![]()

Well, first round of monsters could be considered the Rangers getting lucky or flukes.
Other than that, I have no clue. Wals Gilz's lack of a full on invasion could be attributed to being a pampered prince rather than a war leader (Think Blueblood). (I can't comment further on Sentai because Gokaiger is the only Sentai I've seen in full) For the PR side...I have no idea. The United Alliance of Evil had led the In Space team all around the galaxy for Zordon. They could've taken the opportunity to take the planet. However, my best theory why they didn't was simply because they had no further need for Earth. They beat the Rangers, which is what Divatox, Machina, and Rita argued about (Moreso than who could conquer the planet), so Earth didn't mean anything to them at that point (Though I think Divatox did express some anger over being called off the planet by the UAoE before she could properly conquer it, I think). |

Depends on the series. Some series like Gokaiger and Shinkenger have reasons for the waiting and small forces. Others just don't.
Same for PR, but a lot of times I think that's just suppose to be part of the charm of the Monster of the Day format. |

I always thought Agent Abrella of Dekaranger was the perfect villain. Instead of leading a whole organization, he was a black market dealer who put his equipment to the test by selling them to other Alienizers. At the same time, he studied the Dekarangers' strengths and weaknesses while they were occupied. Once he got all of the necessary data on them, he found the perfect opportunity to strike them when they least expected it.

Simple, they need the show to last a full year. If they went the full armada out immediately, the show would be done in 3 episodes. :-p
Seriously though, I've never understood that. You would think that after the third failed monster they would just say screw it and go all out. In some series, like GoGoV or KakuRanger, it makes sense. In others, like Gokaiger or even DaiRanger, it does not. |

That was about how RPM started though. The badguys went all out, nearly decimated all of humanity, and thought they only had one last cluster to go when the rangers came. They'll probally start Gokai out like that when/if it comes here. Much like the series in Japan.

I just assumed it to be overconfidence/ignorance usaully. That's the only way I could think of explaining it in the story.

Yeah, I'd probably say overconfidence too.

Too bad DekaRanger didn't do anything the entire series. Abrella was all right, but the show really needed a main central villian, especially because the final battle with Abrella was so lackluster and boring.

Gekiranger didn't hold off, they went full out in Like Episode 5. but then RinJuken had a diffrent set of goals, the GekiRangers were just a minor annoyance to them, something they rarely even gave any active thought too.
