I've had a theory for awhile, and I'm curious if anyone else has been thinking the same thing. I believe the second decade of Hesei Riders will end with a second Decade series, to finally end the Narutaki plot line. Narutaki has shown up in crossovers every year since Decade ended, yet we still know nothing about him. I can't imagine they would use him for this long for no reason. I think the Foundation X plot line might be part of it, too.
Another small thing that leads me to believe this is the case. When it was announced, Toei stated that W was the beginning of a new ten year project. Kind of an odd statement to make if you don't plan on doing something to cap it off at the end.

I'm sure they will. Whether or not it'll be good is a different story. I see alot of people already greatly dislike Narutaki as well as Decade so it's on of those cases of "do people still care?" I honestly enjoyed Decade as faulty as it was and want to see the Narutaki angle have some conclusion.

I still have yet to understand what that "ten-year project" is supposed to mean/be. Maybe it's that, but I have doubts. When the 20th Heisei/10th Neo-Heisei year comes shouldn't we also be getting a new rider with their own season to along with it? That's what bothers me with Decade & Gokaiger being the anniversary seasons of their franchises; when the next anniversary comes are we getting new anniversary people or are we going back to the old ones? And normally I wouldn't think they'd wanna touch Decade again with all the supposed issues on the creative team back then but they've been trying to keep Decade's elements in our heads. Wizard ended with a Decade two-parter & the Gaim-ToQger crossover featured Narutaki for pretty much no reason other than to remind fans that they exist & are somehow important. I can't tell if that's hinting at something in the future or if it's only lazy writing that they think can be handwaved just because it's Decade. It's a real head-scratcher.

Its pretty save to say that it probably wont be a second season of decade. They never repeated their anniversary shows like that and it would be pretty weird to start that now. A new anniversary brings potential for a new toyline and just recycling an old concept doesnt sound appealing to kids or collectors.
The thing with Decade in the anniversary specials comes off more like a combination of the creators that do these movies/specials being heavily involved with Decade in 2009 and it having become somewhat of an injoke to them. The Wizard special was written by Sho Aikawa who wrote the first batch of decade episode. Yonemura who writes all the Superhero Taisen movies also wrote a good chunk of Decade. The Actor that plays Decade is also someone who really loves his role and is always open to come back to play Tsukasa so he is always an obvious choice when they wanna get someone back for these specials. I dont think the "ten year project" they announced when Double started was an actual project and more just a way to say that hesei rider will continue for the next decade. |

Will Tsukasa/Decade come back? Definitely.
Will it be another Decade series? Nope. "You're only saying that because you don't like the series" I'm saying it because Decade featuring all the riders was a special occurrence that hadn't happened very often. Now that we get an All Riders/Rider Taisen movie every flipping year, there is no point to bringing back Decade to act as an explanation for how/why, now. As for the story, why would Kamen Rider revive a story 10 years after the series ended, when the primary audience (the 8-12 age range) would have little interest in the dangling plot threads? At best, Decade would get a DVD special or play a large role in the crossover movie with the next anniversary rider. But he definitely wouldn't get a full on series.

Instead of having Tsukasa being the main guy in the story, I would rather have his sister Sayo to be the new Rider instead.

Unless the Taisen movie that year revolved around Decade, I don't see him getting any special treatment by the time that series rolls around.

I thing the 10 years thing refers more to the style the newer Heisei Shows have. There's still a huge difference between the first 10 and the current 6 Heisei Rider series in atmosphere, storytelling etc. |

Anyone think that, since they brought Kuuga back in for Decade, maybe they'll bring in a previous Rider to act as a side character to whoever the new anniversary Rider is? I'm on the fence about the idea in general, never mind who the returning Rider would actually be.

Hopefully not. While I don't mind Onodera as a character, him being Kuuga just didn't work the way it was executed. Also, Rising Ultimate >_>
