Back at Power Morphicon 2014, Bandai of America said that they had heard the fan's cries for more villain toys to be released. Whether or not this comes to pass has yet to be seen as thus far in the Power Rangers Dino Charge toy-line we have only seen two - Fury, one of the generals for the evil bounty hunter Sledge, and the foot soldiers of the season, the Vivix.
Today we bring you our gallery and review of the Power Rangers Dino Charge 5" Vivix figure and share our thoughts on what worked, what doesn't work, and whether or not you should buy it. Read on for the details! The Figure While I was playing around with this figure I popped off the lower legs to discover two more points of articulation - so this guy has 17 which is pretty damn impressive for a mold that is constantly bashed by S.H. Figuarts purists who claim anything but is subpar. But yes - 17 points of total articulation allow you to create some fun poses with this guy - he's basically only missing waist and ankle articulation to make him the stand out 5" figure in the last few years. The amount of sculpting on this figure is simply incredible. All the lines you see on his body that are filled in gray? Those are sculpted. The "hair"? Sculpted. The little spikes up and down his arms, chest, and legs? Sculpted. Now, is the figure perfect? Of course not - you'll be hard-pressed to find a chest symbol that doesn't look like it came straight out of a first grade elementary art class. But it's still pretty amazing none the less. I would dare say that of all the 5" figures that have come out in the last few years - this one is probably tops in a lot of ways. His biggest draw in terms of the overall figure is that you can't turn his head too far because of the "hair" in the back will catch on the shoulders. The Accessories The one glaring thing that this figure lacks is there are no accessories that come with it. The inclusion of something would have made this figure THAT much better, but I can't help but feel that leaving out any accessories was a miss. The figure makes up for it in some incredible detailing, but unfortunately I think an accessory would have made this figure even more of a "must-buy" for all fans and not just those seeking to troop build. The Good!
The Bad
Conclusion! This guy is such a fun figure even though he's horribly basic in terms of what you get - a standard 17 point articulation figure. But the amount of sculpting detail that went in to this thing is incredible and is quite impressive for a budget 5" figure from Bandai of America. Even if you're not in to troop-building or buying the 5" Power Rangers figures, this guy is worth adding to your collection. Pick one up if you see it - I have a feeling it'll be harder to find than the X-Borgs from Power Rangers Super Megaforce.

Great gallery. I'll probably pick this up if I see it, but then the X-Borg proved rather difficult to find here so I'm not too hopeful

Great detail for sure, wasn't a big fan of the cannon fodder enemy for this season though.

While I do really like how it looks, I think Fury is the overall winner.

I love this figure! Got 'em at random at a TRU - doubt I'll ever see him again, considering how often I've seen other Putty-types. This guy is seriously badass, compared to all the other fodder. I can't even imagine them dancing around, waiting to be punched and kicked. I'd watch out for these scary S.O.B.s.

Best troopers in years. And so nice, so damn nice, they weren't named Loogies, or Moogers, or X-Borgs. Vivix! Love it.
