Also Brain is a tool, but that's nothing new.

this isnt gou, i just watched it, brain did something to gou that brainwashed him to fight drive and chase, he's not even fighting the roidmutes that's something gou usually does, not talking, no emotion unlike the last fight, plus brain calling gou out and laughing. gou isnt doing this on his free will, he's under brain's control.

This has been another good of Drive.

I just realised something, we have moved from Chase being brainwashed to serve the rodimudes to now Gou potentially being brainwashed to serve the roidmudes, if that is the case which I would imagine since given his complete disdain for them I can't imagine him properly working for them.

Man, I don't know what happened in the writer's room, but Drive as a show has finally got its tie tightened. This was another great episode, even with the lackluster fight choreography in the big brawl near the end. The mystery around Shinnosuke's dad is getting increasingly interesting, so much so that I no longer mind how much this plot came out of nowhere about a month ago. I'm also very intrigued by what's going on with Gou now that he seems to have gone full Kaixa. Really, pretty much everything on the show is working for me now - I'm even enjoying the SCU and their antics. I think it helps a lot that the captain has dropped most of his clown act now. I know that Captain Nira has picked that flag up and ran with it, but at the same time I'm constantly amused by what a total prick he is.

This show continues its drastic turn-around from the boring uninteresting story to this over-arching massive story line with twists and turns. It's like they said "We want to be different than Gaim" and then 20 episodes in went "Fuck it, let's be Gaim 2.0 with cars" and it's working well.

Not to mention about twist that Kiriko and Gou are Childrens of Professor Banno! The mad scientist who creates Roidmudes!

I forgive Riku Sanjo for his disaster attempt of writing entire episode of Kyoryuger.

While the show has changed for the better, I am curious how it seems to be Gaim 2.0 with cars?

Gaim went from a secret alien plant invasion to an invasion involved human mutation with the overarching theme about balancing power against sacrificing parts of individual and mass humanity with lots of treachery and dance moves.

Drive has some cop drama (not super important) that is increasingly being linked to one or more mad scientists unleashing a terminatoresque machines take over the world plot with the main characters learning how their families might have actually sparked the whole damn thing.

Did you mean Gaim 2.0 as in a KR show with way better pacing and narrative instead of a boring slog like Wizard? Cuz . . . yup
