Ugh. Man I am not digging the way these level 3 forms look in the level up rider series, they're just so clunky and awkward looking. Lazer doesn't look that bad, although I wish the game pad buttons on the side were painted and he does look bit on the small side in bike mode but that probably was done so that his level 3 doesn't look ridiculously huge in comparison to the other riders, speaking of which I hope that the combination with giri giri chanbara doesn't look as bad as robot and beat gamer do in toy form.

I wish they had taken a page from the Arms Change line and made the headgear included with but separate from the rest of the armor. The way it is just sort of held up there by the front just looks super awkward. The armor in general just seems too high. I mean...sure, it wouldn't be as good a gimmick, but I think it would have been better if the robot just came apart and attached to Rider as armor separately. They have these big old peg holes on their shoulders and heads. Why not use them to like...attach things to their shoulders and heads? It'd look a lot better than having the shoulder armor so high above their actual shoulders. I like the idea of these armors but the execution just doesn't look that great to me. Kind of a shame.

Curious on how Lazer's level 3 will be done. Will it be its own separate figure or what? I feel like the armors could work but just not sure how. Maybe make the butt flap a cape? Though Snipe's level might work better since it looked like most of a jet was on his back.

Whether it's compatible with the other Level 3 armors is...hard to say. I'd say it probably could be if it wasn't for the shoulder armor, since I don't really see how that would work. Then again, he does use the shoulder armor from the Hunter Gamer, so there may be a way. Hard to gauge at the moment. |

The design of the LV.3's are a bit disappointing, but oh well. Beats shelling out big dollars for the design specific SHFAs. And at least with these I can swap them around.
