Okay, am I weird for thinking this guy looks way cooler without the filter. Mostly because, holy cow, he has color. I thought he was just brownish grey or something.

Holy crap, yeah. I recently saw some design art for the Amazons, and I thought Mamoru's was just some old concept that got thrown out because it wasn't just a mass of gray:

But look at that, I guess he isn't monochrome after all. Looking at some other pictures there are of him I guess I could have noticed this earlier, but it really doesn't come across in the show very well. That filter gets heavy.

(i doubt it will happen, but now that i think about it bandai could totally release "filter versions" of the amazons figuarts that actually look like they do in the show. wonder how that'd sell...)

EDIT: Wait, he comes with an accessory to replicate him punching a hole through Sigma? Holy shit! Also, why am I just now noticing that this thing has visible eyes?

Man, he looks great! Love the colors, and the accessories are on point, sweet.

I really wish I could bring myself to waste 80 bucks on this but I can't.

Just remembered that the mole kaijin in the original Amazon was a kind-hearted soul.
Overall looks nice, and interesting to see him not so desaturated.
