Hippity Hoppity, another Goodsmile take on the Gridman property.
Interesting they're using alloy parts. Maybe it'll make it actually sturdy this time? Probs not if it's not on the figure itself. But the reveal of the Diaclone x Gridman toy a few weeks back made me lose all interest in this.

It's a collaboration with Sentinel which I imagine is doing the bulk of the work.

Dang, it's 7-inch scale, which makes it a pass for me. The Tokusatsu Edition looks legit great though, and Sentinel almost always does great work too.

It seems just Gridman is around the size of their recent RoboCop release and it was originally marketed as a Hagane Works product until the recent toy show, so the alloy isn't a surprise with the history it has. Hopefully it has better stability than the Ultra-Act.
The promos for the Toku version look great, but I can't justify a 35% cost increase for a paintjob on a toy this expensive, already. Excited to see how the other THE GATTAI figures turn out. |

It looks very nice but it's way too rich for my blood.

Pretty much the exact same comment I was going to type. Love Gridman, but not at this price point.
Although slapping 10k Yen on the price because of paint and calling it a "Tokusatsu Edition" is kind of hilarious. |

Price seams fair to me, inline with similar products from Bandai or Sentinel. The Toku Edition is a bit of a stretch though.

Well, it looks pretty cool, especially the tokusatsu edition. Is it really worth paying that much extra for a paint job, though? Besides, I'm sure the people interested in this would know how to paint things themselves...
Yeah that Diaclone figure is awesome.
