Power Rangers In Space DX Mega Winger Gallery
16 Attachment(s)
This is gallery #4 in Tokunation.com's tribute to Power Rangers In Space for the Power Rangers 20th Anniversary! Up this time is the DX Mega Winger which, like the Mega Voyager, shares it's name with it's Sentai counterpart from Denji Sentai Megaranger!
The Mega Winger is unique in that most of it's transformation is spring-loaded. There are 2 triggers located on it's back, one to release the legs and one to release the arms, and a single trigger on it's "belt" that pops the head into place, the arms are unfolded after that manually. The winger can also give it's Wing to the Mega Voyager and form the Winged Mega Voyager! Don't forget to tune in later this week to see the final part of Tokunation's tribute to Power Rangers in Space with our special gallery of the DX Silver Titanus the Carrier Zord! The weak point of the line. There's always one, and here he is. It's like the designers were looking through the scripts, were surprised there was going to be a sixth, and panicked. Throwing this thing together last minute. It reminds me so much of (Someone Help Me Here) The Shadow Wing thing from Time Force/Timeranger. Except that actually did the wing concept well. This.. This is just weak.
Edit: And the Helmet kind of looks like the combined helmet of Time Force Megazord and Shadow Winger. I just now noticed that. |

:O
Say it isn't so, Den-O! You don't have the little missiles for his wings?? :P I always really enjoyed the spring gimmicks on this guy, even if sometimes they got annoying. I remember the shoulders in particular liking to pop out or never closing flush when I wanted it in Winger mode. Still was a fun (very, comparatively) little toy. |
