Because the SJW stuff people hate and has been proven not to sell seems like something to save for Marvel.
Let's see how bad it is and maybe Disney will step in and enforce stricter rules. Marvel's unwell as hell and needs to be forced to stop this or they'll be in the same mess forever. |

The new Spider-Man movie was not bad. I kinda like it and there was parts of the movie that I didn't like. Maybe it is because I'm getting sick of Spider-Man, but I didn't love the movie as everyone else. I think it is worth watching if you like Spider-Man and the MCU.

Let's not forget constant delays with events and pricing. This week, they announced a prise rise for the last issue of Secret Empire because they added 8 pages to the exist 40 pages. Whereas today, DC announced that after getting a surprisingly large amount of pre-orders for Dark Nights: Metal, they will drop the prices from $4.99 to $3.99 for issues #2-6. You can tell who cares more for their readers than the other...

I probably missed this somewhere, but on Thursday morning Joan Lee (Stan's wife) died. She was 95. Such a shame. My thoughts go out to Stan and his daughter (who is also named Joan).

Eh, the biggest issue with Marvel these days according to my friends are pushing characters nobody likes (Sam Nova), stupid writing (Hydra Cap apparently still being able to wield Mjolnir despite working for the Nazis and Civil War II), Perlmutter being a petty asshole (Trying to ignore X-Men and replace them with the Inhumans despite X-Men Blue and Gold being their best selling comics currently and other FOX ban shit), needless crossovers (The beloved Kamala Khan being in Civil War II did NOT go over well with fans at all) and being a lot more expensive than the competition despite these issues which screams arrogance. People also weren't happy when some bigwig there said "Our comics haven't been selling well because people don't want diverse characters" despite Kamala Khan, Miles Morales and I believe Amadeus Cho getting instant adoration by the public

Also another problem, the constant relaunches and cancelling ongoings and using the excuse they intended for it to be a mini/limited series. It's really tiring now...

Watched Homecoming. Was good, but not as good as I hoped. Was about on par with Raimi's first two films for me. Everything they did wrong this did brilliantly, but then it missed the mark on things they did superbly.
Remember when these films acknowledged he has goddamn Spider-sense? I sure don't. Now I'm not expecting it to have flared up just before he found out Toombes was Liz's father or anything but there were SO many instances in this film where it should have. Karen needs to go ASAP. I'm fine with the suit being Stark tech, I can deal with his vision being like a readout, but the AI crap was just too much. It said a lot that the best scenes were the ones where he used the homemade suit, because that's exactly what Spider-Man should be. He doesn't need all the tech because he's smart enough to do it himself. Now if the point of it all was simply to prove he didn't need the suit and in the next film he has the proper suit but without Karen and all the tech bits (ie he comes up with all the web stuff himself rather than have it handed to him) then great, job done. But it really shouldn't stick around for the sequel. Casting and tone was superb. Can't say I was a fan of Michelle/MJ but generally it was pretty fantastic all around. It was nice to see a movie where it genuinely felt like a bunch of 15 year olds. Keaton absolutely nailed it as the Vulture too. So yeah. Happy but there's room for improvement. As far as 2017 comic book films go it didn't top Logan or GOTG2 for me.

I think Raimi's Spider-Man movies are not very good in my opinion. I find the acting and the dialogue in those movies to be pretty bad. I was a fan of Sam Raimi long before he did Spider-Man and seeing him go from Evil Dead to Spider-Man made me go "WTF?". Even as a 11 year old kid back in 2002, I was like "Meh this movie was okay" after the movie was over.
I find his movies to be too corny and silly at times. I feel the Silver Age approach in his movies did not work for the 2000's decade if you ask me.
