Ok, question: Does anyone actually think the guy playing Romane is too pretty for his own good? I mean, he is attractive, but is he really any more attractive than the rest of the cast?

Everything about this episode fell into place very early on for me, so I expected most of the outcomes, but Geoffry Giraffe the ToysRus Mascot was NOT at all what I was expecting...
I did find it odd that Himeno reclaimed Ishibana last episode without a fight (especially since Kamejim seemed too important to get beaten or retreat off-screen), the absence of Sebastian, and the odd tonal shift from said previous episode (not uncommon, but it felt too left field in this case). Sure, I wasn't expecting Sebastian to be the new handsome guy (and I did feel like the story made Himeno seem suspicious given how she interacted with her citizens in the early episodes), but even if I did notice things quick into the episode, I still absolutely enjoyed it. Kamejim is still a very fun villain, with him trying to assassinate the Kings (Rita is still best girl, though Himeno's gaining) and him losing it when Real Deal Himeno shows up. And while it's been on my mind for a good while, I'll just say I love how his design foreshadowed the Galactinsects with how different his design was to the rest of the Bugnarok. Next Episode: More Dead Ancestors and Food crises! Quote:
While I am straight, I'd like to consider myself something of a "male appreciator" or something like that. Wow, that sounded stupid...

Another great Hymeno focus episode with World Is Mine. Maybe even my new favorite episode. While Gira's and Racles' climactic battle for the throne is certainly memorable, this one was a lot of fun in various ways. The marriage interview is a common trope in Sentai and it was humorous to see how the kings and Ramone competed. Poor Yanma choked so badly that Jeremy the self-appointed wingman had to literally pull his strings, Gira doesn't even want to be there and Rita shows that they can actually dance despite being the most introverted.
Also, the screaming man of Shugoddam boasted about dumping his gf to marry a girl he's never met. I feel no sympathy for this guy. Kamejim's impersonation of Hymeno is close, but it's too superficial to be totally believable. He doesn't know the real Hymeno, so he can only mimic the ugly side of Hymeno's selfishness, rather than the beautiful side of her that encourages people to be true to themselves. It's a good moral that aesthetics are only beautiful if they match the heart of a person, which is the important difference between Hymeno's authenticity and Kamejim's pretentiousness, as he failed to understand the reason for Hymeno's appeal and respect in the first place. I was thinking about mentioning this last week (or the week before that due to pre-emption), but I like how this show is giving such equal focus to characters that even the SICs are getting their chance to shine. First Shiokara and now Sebastian, so it seems like that's going to be the theme for this arc, further developing the strong bond between the monarchs and their SICs. While Ramone's vow of marriage to Hymeno was a lie to expose Kamejim, we do know that Morphonia is an actual candidate for succession to the throne of Gokkan, so maybe we'll find out why Rita chose her. Looks like next week will be connected to the summer movie and we'll find out a little more about the former tyrant queen of Tofu and Kaguragi's regicide of her 17 years ago. Quote:

Long story short, Japanese are goshdarn handsome/beautiful. Quote:
I second this. Jeremy has way too much charisma in his appearance and voice, him forfeiting the marriage competition was the only way to make it fair.

Honestly, I'm kind of glad to know there are others like me who do that.
