Speaking of win/loss statistics, I was always surprised that Decade was considered an Ace-tier rider, even though he somehow managed to lose four battles in a row over two episodes.

The situation here is that all of the main Geats riders contradict their principles at one point or another in the show. I think this shows the complexity and ambiguity of the constantly changing circumstances of the DGP and subsequent events. It just hits Keiwa harder because, apart from morality, he has no attractive features.
