Shouma and Lage 9/KR Vram gets into a fight, and @ 11:28 Lage 9/KR Vram is trying to take Shouma's Henshin Belt Gavv but is unable to remove it because it's directly attached to Shouma's digestive system, and concludes that Shouma is indeed a Granute in the shape of a human.

But given Vram`s hatred for Stomatch Inc., will Shoma find himself in a situation where he has secrets from both allies that could turn them into his enemies? Add to this Hanto's hatred of Granutes and it turns out that it will be very difficult for the three riders to find a common language. The problem with secrets is that keeping them too long is just as dangerous as revealing them too early. Shoma has already missed the best chance with Valen, let's see what happens with Vram.

I have several new hypotheses:
- KR Valen = Fallen(?) - Komel was actually killed by Glotta. But, if so, then why didn't she just order her agents to kill him? Why would she, a Stomach top brass, kill a mere lowly part-timer by herself and risk being suspected by the Granute authorities? - Komel's internal organ was actually the one that was implanted into Hanto's body in episode 6. Although, any Granutes who died and or operated on prior to episode 6 are possible candidates, including random Stomach part-timers and or Dark Snack junkies, Kid Shouma, or even Bouche. Komel was alive when he returned home, albeit dying, so perhaps his internal organ was extracted before he escaped to Lage 9 home? Also, if that internal organ is the crucial organ that makes a Granute a Granute, then can a Granute survive without it? This may also refute my hypothesis in the episode 6 thread here that Kid Shouma was the elusive Wolf Granute who kidnapped Hanto's mom 18 years ago, although Kid Shouma was able to survive likely due to him being a human-Granute hybrid. - Lango and Glotta should've ordered their agents to spy on Hanto/KR Valen to uncover his identity and eliminate him as quickly as possible since the first time he appeared in episode 6, especially after Glotta directly encountered Hanto and saw him transform into KR Valen right before her two eyes in episode 7. Now that it's revealed that they're also ignorant of the fact that KR Vram is Lage 9, it makes even more sense for Lango and Glotta to order their agents to spy on KR Vram to uncover his identity and eliminate him as well. They just need to order their agents not to do stupid things like shown at the beginning of episode 19. If I were Lango and Glotta, then I'd think like drug lords that still have normal, healthy, and well-functioning logic, rationality, and common sense, and I would've immediately ordered my agents to hunt Hanto/KR Valen down right after Glotta encountered him in episode 7. If I were Lango and Glotta, then I'd have immediately eliminate everyone that dare to threat my operations. Gosh, Lango and Glotta are soooooooooooooooo conveniently dumb! - Perhaps Sachika is the only character that would be revealed to have a connection with a law enforcement organization, at least one from the human world? So far, she's the only protagonist among the main trio who has virtually no back story (at all!). Perhaps the writers went full Yuuya with her and the reveal of her backstory would be something surprising or even shocking? Perhaps her dad was a private investigator or a detective from Tokyo police department who investigated Stomach's part-timers in the human world prior to the invention of the Hito Press process, and was killed by Stomach's agents/goons like I hypothesized in the episode 12 thread here? - Even the police in the human world should've already begun to connect the dots when many regular citizens of the human world (who are actually Stomach's part-timer Granutes in disguise) started to show similar patterns of strange behavior, especially when the part-timer Granutes still kidnapped whole humans. The Hito Press process is only recently implemented, and like several character said the Granute part-timers kidnapped whole humans during the previous 20 years(!). 20 years worth of missing person cases with almost identical circumstances, combined with regular citizens (who are actually Stomach's part-timer Granutes in disguise) showing similar patterns of strange/suspicious behavior, should've already been recorded and investigated by the Tokyo police department. Perhaps Sachika's dad is/was a detective/investigator from the Tokyo police department or at least connected to those cases like I mentioned above? It'd be very very very stoooooooooopid if there's no law enforcement organization in the human world that has been able connect the dots. It'd be even stoooooooooopider if there's no law enforcement organization in the Granute world that's aware of the existence of Dark Snacks as drugs, at least the existence of a novelty creational food that has addictive effect and has created many dysfunctional junkies in the Granute society. Dark Snacks are sold by the Stomach's agents at the exact same booths (featuring their company's logo!) where they sell their regular products, so the Granute police should've already investigated it and connected the dots since a very very veeeeeeeeeery long time ago. If the police can succesfully bust drug lords who sell their merchs at dark alleys, then they should've succeeded busting Stomach's brazen operation. No way the Granute police are still in the dark after 2 decades of Stomach's Dark Snack operation. Heck, if Lage 9, a mere ordinary civilian with virtually zero detective/investigative skills, was able to connect the dots and trace the name Dark Snacks to Stomach corporation in just several months, then the Granute police should've had done 1.000.000x more than what he did, right? Right? Right? - Also, what happened to the humans inside the university class room in episode 19? Even if Lage 9 was able to make them hallucinate until the effect of his toxin wore off, at least several seconds before he injected his toxin they saw him reveal himself as a Granute, so everyone in the room was made fully aware of the existence of non-human intelligence of extra-terrestrial nature. Yet, the Tokyo police are still unable to connect the dots after Lage 9's massive screw-up? Gosh, what a pathetically, laughably, indefensibly stupid story. It's another fundamental law in Gavv's story: No stupidity = No plots. - Lage 9 whose redemption is already hinted would visit Shouma at Hapipare, and there he'd then encounter Sachika and start to develop a crush on her, haha. ![]() Quote:

Several people said that Toshiki Inoue's secret identity trope was the worst because it lasted 10 more episodes compared to KR Gavv, but I don't think that's the case. Toshiki Inoue's worst execution of his favorite trope was in KR Faiz where several key relationships like Takumi-Kiba and Yuka-Keitaro dragged for way too long, which I 100% concur. But, at least those characters in KR Faiz very rarely shared incriminating information/evidence about their true selves/intentions before the actual reveal. At least those characters in KR Faiz kept their cards very close to their chest. What makes KR Gavv's sEcReT iDeNtItY trope is 10x worse than KR Faiz's is the fact that many characters have shown many incriminating pieces of evidence to the opposite party, especially in Shouma-Hanto relationship like I mentioned in the first paragraph above, among many others. The fact that Hanto is still unable to read between the lines and connect the dots despite the many incriminating pieces of evidence only demonstrates that KR Gavv's story is a big idiot plot. Quote:

Also, why is being able to do physical things make someone an appropriate candidate for becoming a Rider? Hina Izumi in KR OOO was even able to do many more physical things much much much better than Sachika will ever do in a million years. Mizuki Mizusawa had become an action girl in KR Amazons season 2. Renge Takatori in KR Kabuto and Hana (and Kohana!) in KR Den-O were even able to fight on their own. Does that make them appropriate candididates for becoming Riders, even if the stories didn't need them to? Please stop making everyone (especially a heroine) a Rider just to make them more relevant to the story. Last edited by Zolda; 02-02-2025 at 05:36 AM.. Reason: Fixed typos in a quote link. |

That's why I used question marks there, bruh. I was asking, not saying. It was a conditional question. That paragraph was solely based on what's shown in the preview section in episode 19. What would actually happen is likely Shouma and Lage 9 kill the guarding agents before entering the interworld portal. Perhaps the dumb one is not me?
Shrugs, I never claim myself to be smart, but you're not doing youself any favors if you didn't double check who you're quoting...(sorry about this, SH Ranger). Last edited by Eclipyon; 01-26-2025 at 03:55 AM.. |

Of course, the bad writing of Donbrothers' and KR Faiz's sEcReT iDeNtIty trope were nothing, I mean, nothing, compared to how atrocious the sEcReT iDeNtIty trope in KR Gavv between Shouma and Hanto due to the many incriminating pieces of evidence shown to Hanto. Gavv's atrocious writing makes Donbrothers' and KR Faiz's sEcReT iDeNtIty trope look like masterpiece, haha. Quote:
And why are you annoyed with me calling the Granute of the week in episodes 17-18 the (bird?) Granute? ![]() Quote:
Sachika was a 100% complete stranger, but now she's Shouma's friend, which is more than Shouma can say about any of his patrilineal family besides Dente. Her lack of shared backstory doesn't make her irrelevant, since she has emotional significance. Caking only exists due to her nurturing trait, which you value in heroines, but now you're dismissing it. Once more, your idea of a good heroine is clearly different to mine. I would've gladly argued against your Mai essay from the Gotchard thread if you hadn't told me you were finished talking about it.
You would've gladly argued against my points about Mai from KR Gaim in KR Gotchard's thread? Bruuuhhh, I already refuted virtually all your wrong points with timestamps and screenshots. No need to repeat it. Quote:
Due to the fact that a Rider who sucks at doing physical things would get beaten up and probably killed like Letter. Like, sure, becoming a Rider doesn't necessarily add anything to a character, but it doesn't take away either. The only possible downside is that the suit could suck (Aguilera) or scrap a better suit (R.I.P. Kanon Specter). It sounds like you expect me to disagree with Hina and Kohana being Rider candidates, but I'd actually be cool with that. For Kabuto though, I would suggest Misaki before Renge.
Ah yes. Making typos = Being a goof. ![]() ![]() |

Hidekazu Chinen, who plays the role of Shoma, is only 19. Most likely, this corresponds to the character's age, since he is younger than Shita and Jeebh, who were just about to get married during the events of the show. Considering the aesthetics of the Garnet world, they must be in their early 20s, otherwise the news of marriage would not have been so unexpected for them. And as for the fact that Shoma is dysfunctional, how else could he be so strong, closed off from the whole world and fully communicating only with his mother?

If Kid Shouma's age was at least 7 years old (by using Kid Shouma's actor's actual age minus 3) 18 years ago, then it'd make waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more sense than using Shouma's actor's age. That's why I chose to go with Kid Shouma's actor's age which gives the range of 25-28 years old. Say, if Shouma's in-universe age is 21-23 years old like you said, then it'd still makes no sense because it means his age 18 years ago was only 3-5 years old, which is obviously contradicting what's been shown on screen multiple times. See? That's how pathetically faulty and screwed up the logic and common sense of this story is. The writers can't even get Shouma's age right! Let that sink in. Quote:
Also, Shouma is obviously physically stronger than normal humans because he's a human-Granute hybrid, but compared to normal, pure-blooded Granutes such as the Granute of the week in episode 1, Shouma is a total weakling loser, let alone compared to the Stomach family members. He even admitted that fact himself when he fought the Granute of the week in episode 1 before transforming into KR Gavv. |

Yes, Shouma's actor is 19 and Kid Shouma's actor is 10 years old, but Shouma's actual age has never been mentioned. It'd make no sense if I choose Shouma's actor's age as his in-universe age, since it'd mean that he was only 1 year old when Hanto's mom was kidnapped 18 years ago, which makes no sense at all.

That quoted paragraph obviously contain typos that resulted in the wrong link and user name. No need to reply to a post that contain a wrongly attributed quote, since you knew you never said that quoted paragraph in the first place. I've just corrected that post. Not sure how I pasted the wrong link and user name, haha.
And why are you annoyed with me calling the Granute of the week in episodes 17-18 the (bird?) Granute? ![]() You typing out "the Granute of the week in episodes 17-18" makes me think that you're actively trying to call him anything but his actual name. "(bird?) Granute" is repetitive to have to read over and over again and doesn't even imply anything about his physical appearance other than maybe looking like a bird. It's unnecessary. Quote:
Your statement about me dismissing the nurturing trait that I value in heroines is one of the most fatal forms of faulty logic/reasoning called a straw man argument. What actually happens: I've never dismissed it at all. Sachika nurturing trait is completely superficial. It's an illusion. Caking exists not because of Sachika's nurturing trait, but because Shouma is a dysfunctional 25(!) or 28(!) year-old man who can't even find a job for himself. If Shouma can find a job and make an income for himself, then Sachika would not need to give him jobs, and she'd be pretty much irrelevant and would be relegated to a recurring minor character.
Regarding Shouma's age, I'm open to the suggestion that he might be slightly older than Chinen, but only slightly, most likely early 20s. 25-28 would be excessive, as that would make him older than 23 year-old Hanto. Unless we consider differences in longevity between humans and Granutes. How old is an old Granute anyway? Quote:
"Ah, I've just remembered that this is Gochard's thread, so this should be my last post talking about Gaim here, haha." The lawyer doesn't get to shut down the prosecutor. The case is open. Like I said, I'm willing to present my counterargument, but I'm not interested in debating for the sake of being right. It needs to be constructive and right now, it's clear that you don't want your essay to be challenged. So I won't, but I assure you that I can. And if you call my bluff, then I will. Quote:
Hina could've become Birth after Date went to get his brain surgery, but Gotou took over the role instead. Honestly, I think she would've been a great Birth. Yeah, let's say hello to Kudo Rinne who's intentionally not supposed to be a good heroine since her main role is officially Gotchard's co-protagonist according to Producer Minato. We've already been through this. Why are you still judging her based on irrelevant criteria?
