The name of the (kabutomushi) Granute of the week is Le Beat. Very imaginative, I know, haha. He says @ 02:06 that Komel was eliminated as an example to show other Stomach part-timers what would happen if they dare to defy Stomach's orders. I hypothesized in my post in episode 21 thread here that Komel was assassinated as some kind of top secret cover-up by one of Stomach's top brasses (who I thought was Dente, and or Zomb after the debut of his name in episode 23) that Lango, Glotta and even Nyelv (the current manipulator) were unaware of, but if what the kabutomushi Granute says in this scene is true, then Komel's assassination was a very normal thing to do by a organized crime organization. Nothing surprising there. So, if Lango, Glotta and even Nyelv (the current manipulator) were unaware of Komel's assassination, then it means that the top brass who ordered it wasn't one of them, which means that it was ordered by Dente and or Zomb (if he was still alive). Dente and or Zomb could've done it by ordering their agents to assassinate Komel, and after being assassinated, Komel was MIA and his status was likely only changed to missing/unknown, like implied by Nyelv statement in episode 21 @ 06:43 when he said that someone had already purged Komel. The weird thing is, if Komel was Hito Pressing humans in the human world, then wasn't he supposed to be assassinated and die in the human world as well? How the heck was Komel able to arrive at Lage 9's house in the Granute world in episode 19 @ 17:13? Let me repost my point about it in episode 25 thread last week here:
"Lage 9 says that the kabutomushi Granute is an idiot for allowing himself to be used by Stomach, and the kabutomushi Granute replies that he's not as stupid as Komel, a statement that obviously enrages Lage 9. The kabutomushi Granute says that he heard a rumor from his friend that an idiotic part-timer got scared and ran away in the middle of a job. This could imply that Komel chickened out when it came the moment when he needed to Hito Press a human. But, if Komel ran away in the middle of a job in the human world, then doesn't it mean that he could only run away in the human world? So, since only Stomach family members (including Shouma) and their agents are able to open the interworld portal, then how the heck was Komel able to arrive at Lage 9's house in the Granute world in episode 19 @ 17:13? Since Komel was a part-timer who defied Stomach's orders, then it must be impossible for him to be allowed to return to the Granute world. The only explanation is that Komel was allowed to return to the Granute world by a Stomach insider who also had the ability to open the interworld portal, and that insider was not Bouche, Lango, Glotta, Nyelv, Shita/Jeebh, and their agents, which means that the insider was likely Dente or Zomb (if he was somehow still alive). It makes more sense if the insider was Dente, but it'd make little sense if it was Zomb since the name Zomb Stomach had never been mentioned and or implied prior to episode 23. If Zomb was/is still alive and commanded/commands Stomach corporation, then Nyelv, the only character so far who is implied to be the mastermind of the plot in this story, should've taken notice and carefully planned his schemes in order to prevent being detected by Zomb, the only Stomach family member that's even more powerful than Bouche, since Nyelv has already been able to fool Lango the stupidest CEO villain (and Glotta)." There are several ways to assassinate Komel that make the most sense: - Dente(?) and or Zomb(?) could've simply ordered their agents to assassinate Komel in the human world, and his body could've been dumped (or better, burned/cremated) in the human world as well. - Komel's body, being a Granute, could've attracted humans' law enforcement's attention if it was dumped or burned in the human world because the remains could've created a risk of exposure. So, the better route for Dente(?) and or Zomb(?) is having their agents capture Komel and return him to the Granute world to be killed there. Or, if agents were way too big, conspicuous, and gaudy to operate freely in the human world, then they could've ordered other Stomach part-timers to assassinate or simply capture Komel, and he (be it dead or alive) would've then been submitted to an agent to be transferred to the Granute world to be destroyed there. - If Komel was still alive in the Granute world even after being assassinated (which was why he was able to arrive at Lage 9's house in the Granute world in episode 19 @ 17:13), then the only explanation that makes sense is that he was allowed to return to the Granute world by a Stomach insider who also had the ability to open the interworld portal, and that insider was not Bouche, Lango, Glotta, Nyelv, Shita/Jeebh, and their agents, which means that the insider was likely Dente(?) or Zomb(?) (if he was somehow still alive). The ultimate mastermind (Dente(?) and or Zomb(?) and or perhaps another unseen character) would likely go full Evolt and cringe-inducingly proclaim, "yOu'Re AlL mErE pAwNs, InClUdInG yOu, NyElVe. eVeRyThInG hAs HaPpEnEd AcCoRdInG tO mY gRaNd PlAn." Koji tells Lage 9 and Sachika @ 04:08 that his Kabuto Dance channel was stolen. He says that it was a passion project channel that he made out of his love for sweets. He did pretty much everything by himself, including the illustrations and interviews. Perhaps this is what he meant when he said in the preview section in episode 25 @ 23:16 that that channel is an important place. It's implied @ 13:06 that that channel has some kind of sentimental value to Koji. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, exactly like I hypothesized in my post in episode 25 thread last week here, it's implied that the kabutomushi Granute/the fake Kabuto Dance did hack Koji's account and stole his account. Heck, even @ 04:41 it's explicitly written on Koji's computer screen that he was unable to log in to his account, which means that it was hacked by a malicious actor (the kabutomushi Granute/the fake Kabuto Dance)! Surprise, surprise! Gavv 26 @ 04.41 ![]() Let me repost my point about it in episode 25 thread last week here: "Koji finally meets with Kabuto Dance @ 17:39. Kabuto Dance wonders why Koji doesn't look happy to meet him, and Koji says that it's because Kabuto Dance is a fake. Koji says that the current Kabuto Dance took over the real Kabuto Dance that he created. Koji suspects that the current Kabuto Dance must be doing something bad to the fans who messaged him. This is sooooooooo weird. How is the current Kabuto Dance a fake? Is he just a fake clone persona that was created by the kabutomushi Granute by creating a new account? It'd be very easy to tell which one is the official real Kabuto Dance account and which one is a fake clone account. Heck, Koji could've simply contacted the streaming website admins and easily showed them 1000 pieces of evidence that he's the real Kabuto Dance, not the kabutomushi Granute, and the streaming website admins would've just terminated the kabutomushi Granute's fake clone account in no time, and the kabutomushi Granute wouldn't have had amassed many followers. Koji as the real Kabuto Dance could also make an announcement on his own page and on the fake Kabuto Dance's page that he's the real Kabuto Dance. Heck, it's obviously shown @ 13:57 in the fake Kabuto Dance's page that someone mentioned that a friend of his met the fake Kabuto Dance offline and hadn't had returned, so Koji should've used that post as an initial clue and contacted the police, and the police should've been able to very very very easily connect the dots and tasked one of their personnels to act as a bait to lure the fake Kabuto Dance out, and effectively causes the plot in this episode to pathetically crumble like a house of cards since Koji wouldn't need Lage 9's escort service. Or did the kabutomushi Granute/the fake Kabuto Dance hack Koji's account and basically stole the account? It still makes no sense since Koji could've still contacted the streaming website admins and proved that his account was hacked by a bad actor, and the streaming website admins would've disabled access to his account to assess the problem and would've easily discovered that his account was accessed by a bad actor in an unauthorized manner from an unrecognized device/location/IP address. Koji should've done the same thing an owner of a Youtube channel does when his account is hacked." My Lord in heaven, Koji's subplot is exactly as sloppy, lazy, and atrocious as I hypothesized last week. It makes no sense at all and is soooooooooooooooooooooo painfully, cringe-inducingly, pathetically stupid beyond belief because the solution to the problem is soooooooooooooooooooooo obvious and could've been easily done by Koji. Koji says @ 05:21 that he didn't want to tell anyone (including all his friends at school) that he was the real Kabuto Dance. He's so stupid that he didn't even try to tell the streaming website (Videology) admins that his account got hacked, or even tell the police since his fans started disappearing. Soooooooooooooooo stupid! The intention was obviously to expand Lage 9's characterization by drawing many similarities between Komel and Koji, as stated by Shouma @ 08:25 and by Sachika @ 09:50. Heck, even both their names begin with a kanji for child (ko), implying their childish behaviors. But please, please, please Gavv writers (and producers), don't do it in such an utterly stupid way. A gazillion of dumb decisions merely to advance the plot = Pure lazy, cheap writing. Koji's utterly stupid subplot in episode 25-26 is just another proof of how pathetically, laughably, indefensibly lazy, cheap, sloppy, heavy-handed, and atrocious KR Gavv's story is, and at this point I'm not surprised at all. KR Gavv (and KR (God forbid) Geats) is the prime example of when the writers have 1000 plot points and 0 common sense. Yep. Once again, Koji's subplot demonstrates that the most fundamental law in KR Gavv's story applies: Common sense = 0 Congratulations, Gavv's writers (and producers)! ![]() ![]() ![]() Also, the kabutomushi Granute said in episode 25 @ 18:40 that he lost his Mimic Key not long after he arrived in the human world. So, if he lost his Mimic Key, then how the heck did he manage to move around undetected in the human world? How the heck was he able to reserve nice dining places, especially for 10 people(!) as shown @ 15:04? Don't know! No way he's able to hide his big, conspicuous, ugly appearance from any human's eyes or security cameras! What's even stupider is the fact @ 15:43 that no one in the dining room realize (let alone scream) that a big, conspicuous, ugly monster appears out of nowhere to attack them. If they scream then their value as Dark Snack spices would plunge like the value of Enron stocks, haha. Everyone there's sooooooooooo convenientlystupid. Ah, never mind. Those questions are irrelevant because the writers (and producers) of this atrocious story have consistently demonstrated that they didn't care about logic, rationality, and common sense at all. Expecting logic, rationality, and common sense from an odd, awkward, forced, manipulated, heavy-handed writing is like waiting for an apple to fall... Under a mango tree. Kenzou tells Hanto @ 06:06 that the Chocold RG's put more strain on his body than he thought. He's obviously playing dumb here. He offers to readjust the Chocold RG's, so Hanto would need to use Shouma's Chocodon RG's for the moment, but, like I hypothesized in episode 25 thread last week here, Hanto stubbornly (or rather, stupidly) declined it while having a flashback of her mom's death due to Kid Shouma's involvement. I thought that when Hanto said in episode 23 @ 05:24 that he wanted nothing to do with Shouma anymore it was due to the psychological shock of hearing about her mom's death as recounted by Shouma. But no, I was wrong. In fact, I was very very very wrong. It turns out that Hanto very likely also thinks exactly like Shouma like I mentioned in my posts in episode 24 thread here and episode 25 thread here. He also thinks that his mom lost her life and was turned into Dark Snack spice because she saved Kid Shouma, and if Kid Shouma wasn't there, then she'd have still been alive and not turned into Dark Snack spice. So, Shouma and Hanto are actually equal in stupidity. Gosh, what a stupid plot. This scene makes it obvious that Hanto has finally entered his Sad Boi dark secondary Rider phase. "i CaN dEfEaT aLl gRaNuTeS bY mYsElF wItHoUt ReLyInG oN sHoUmA aNyMoRe!", says Hanto the stupid, dense, stubborn Sad Boi dark secondary Rider. Welcome to the story, Sad Boi Hanto. Kenzou is unexpectedly visited by Nyelv @ 11:40. They briefly talk about the progresses of their plans. Kenzou says that he's following Nyelv by researching artificial minions, which could imply that the artificial minions reasearched by Nyelv was the Doppudding and Purujelly RG's, and very likely the Frappeise RG as well. This likely answers my questions in my previous posts about where the Doppudding and Purujelly RG's came from. So yeah, Nyelv has been able to conveniently create his own RG's. Very convenient for the plot! Kenzou says @ 12:12 that to him, Nyelv is a person who might become a savior. What does he mean by a savior? Does it mean that Nyelv is planning to be a savior for the Granutes by making Dark Snacks as their staple food, while at the same time enslaving the masses them by turning them into Dark Snack junkies? That could be the case. Nyelv is taking a glance at Kenzou's computer monitor that's showing videos of cellular activities @ 12:18, so perhaps now Nyelv has finally found out that Kenzou is the Master who created the Dark Shoumas. Hanto is experiencing chest pain again @ 16:58. Surprise surprise, Hanto. In the scene @ 22:09 Koji is reclaiming his Kabuto Dance's Sweets channel. It turns out he's able to log in to his account again! Why didn't you do it earlier, Koji? Why did you involve Lage 9 in your problem? The answer is crystal clear: Because the writers needed him to do so in order to create the subplot in episodes 25-26 about Koji andLage 9. Yep, once again it's proven that KR Gavv's story is sooooooo pathetically, laughably, indefensibly lazy, cheap, sloppy, heavy-handed, and atrocious. Gavv is quickly becoming the 2nd worst written entry in this franchise after (God forbid) Geats. Gavv has faaaaaaaaaaaar surpassed Revice in the atrocity department. It's soooooooooooo obvious that the producer of this series (Naomi Takebe) is trying to outdo the atrocity she did last time in (God forbid) Geats, and the writers are trying to out-Yuuya Yuuya Takahashi's masterpiece of atrocious writing, which is also (God forbid) Geats, haha. ![]() ![]() ![]() Hanto visits Kenzou's crummy office/lab @ 22:42, aaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnndddddddddd... In a very very very convenient coincidence, he sees Kenzou talking with 2 Dark Shoumas. So yeah, my hypothesis since my post in episode 19 thread here that Kenzou used a strand of Shouma's hair to create the Dark Shouma clones is finally proven to be correct in this scene. My hypothesis in my post in episode 22 thread here about the Chocold RG's being produced by a Dark Shouma is also proven to be correct in this scene. In this scene a Dark Shouma is showing Kenzou a new RG, the Breacookie RG. What's so weird (or rather, stupid) in this scene is the fact @ 22:57 that none of Kenzou nor the Dark Shoumas realize that Hanto, an adult man of that size, has arrived there and sees all their conversations from quite a close distance. If in episode 27 Hanto manages to leave there without Kenzou and or the Dark Shoumas realizing that he's been there, then it'd be soooooooooooooooooo awfully convenient. Well, this story has had a gazillion of very very very convenient coincidences at the most crucial moments, so what's the harm in adding another one? Haha. ![]() ![]() ![]() Jeebh? Yep, as usual, he's still MIA. # of episodes without Jeebh: 10. He's been missing from the story for 10 episodes straight(!). My only conclusions: - The writers wrote themselves to a corner and couldn't do anything to insert Jeebh into the story, so he needed to be sidelined until his advertising tenure begins, very likely after Kenzou reveals himself as the creator of the Dark Shoumas and transforms into KR Bake in episode 27(?). - There's a possibility that the writers also went Yuuya with Jeebh. Perhaps during the last 9 episodes Jeebh has been searching for Zomb to request his help to strengthen him in order to fulfill his revenge on Shouma for killing Shita. Or maybe not. Who knows what kind of convoluted plot points were crammed into the story next? I've got nothing more to say, so let me repost my point about Jeebh in episode 23 thread here: "And hooooooooooooooooooooly crap, Jeebh is still frakkin' absent!!! Where the heck are you, Jeebh??? ![]() ![]() ![]() The weirdest thing is that the writers still could't even deal with Jeebh's storyline, yet they added a new villain (Zomb) into the story and potentially made the story much harder to resolve. They hadn't solved the previous problem yet they created a new one. Also, Kenzou is starting another manipulation, adding another difficulty in resolving Jeebh's storyline." Let me repost my point about Jeebh in episode 21 thread here: "Jeebh is still absent after his last appearance in episode 16. He doesn't appear at all since then, not even 1 frame. The fact that Jeebh is still nowhere to be seen could mean that he'd likely transform into the 5th Rider or the 6th Rider, since there has been a rumor about Kenzou transforming into KR Bake. Perhaps Jeebh would be one of the normal Granutes who are possessed by Dark Shouma's cells and gets his Gavv corrupted, or perhaps he's the final user of the Henshin Belt Bitter Gavv. That, or he's simply forgotten by the writers due to the super duper hyper mega ultra convoluted plot, haha. ![]() ![]() Like I said in my post in episode 22 thread here: "My only words for Jeebh: You either die a villain, or live long enough to see yourself become a forgotten villain. The worst fate is not being a dead character, but being a character forgotten by its own writers. *facepalm" Next week: Hanto is shown crying in the preview section @ 23:06. Perhaps that's the moment when he finally realizes that almost all the deaths of the important people in his life (including Mr. Shioya's death at the end of episode 5) have been a part Kenzou/Nyelv's cahoots all along. Well, Hanto, being dense is not a good way to move forward in life. This moment will likely drive him further into the stupid, dense, stubborn Sad Boi dark secondary Rider trope. Lage 9 and Sachika are visiting Dente @ 23:07. Dente is seen holding Lage 9's Vrastum Gear, so perhaps he's asked to create a copy of it (for Hanto(?), or worse, Sachika(?)). Hanto also visits Dente @ 23:08, so perhaps the new copy of Vrastum Gear is intended for Hanto(?). Shouma visits Kenzou at his crummy office/lab @ 23:09. He confronts Kenzou and asks him what the heck he's been doing to Hanto. Perhaps he's planning to find out what's behind Kenzou's ulterior motive in manipulating Hanto is. Aaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnndddddddddd... By using an unknown weapon/transformation device (the Bake Magnum), Kenzou transforms into KR Bake at a parking building @ 23:12 and challenges Shouma. So yeah, my hypothesis in episode 24 thread here and episode 25 thread here about Kenzou's debut as KR Bake in episode 27 is proven to be 100% correct in this preview scene. The scenes of Hanto crying @ 23:06, Shouma's face being shown from his right side @ 23:10, Shouma transforming into KR Gavv Poppin Gummy @ 23:05, and Kenzou transforming into KR Bake @ 23:12, all of them happen at a parking building, so I think they're all parts of the same scene. Perhaps Kenzou arrives there after Shouma and or Hanto defeat a Dark Shouma, and then he challenges Shouma and transforms into KR Bake, while at the same time revealing to Hanto that he's been manipulating him in his quest to create the finished, ultimate product: KR Bake Breacookie form. Mmmmmmmmmmaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyybbbbbbbbbbeeeeeeeeee... |

I really enjoy Lakia as a character so this focus two-partner was excellent. The style if off the charts as well, firing the bow with his knees? So cool.
And as usual I can’t get enough of these characters, Sachika is too wholesome. But man I wasn’t ready for that ending. The mad professor is finally revealed for what he is! And next week seems insane, Dente gets to met Sachika which is awesome, he’s working on reverse engineering Lakia’s belt (I know what for, I’ve seen the scans) and a new Rider enters the fray! Man I’m hyped for the next episode! |

Nice to see Lakia finding a human food he likes, pudding. He's not the type to openly admit having a big change of heart, but his interaction with Koji is heartwarming and when he says something is "not so bad", he actually means it's good! I believe Lakia will continue to protect humans from now on, since this is also what Comel would've wanted.
Le Beet's identity fraud was even worse than I thought, not only stealing the name but even Koji's account? Honestly, how did that idiot even manage that? He must've asked for help from a smart guy like Nyelve, as we can see here that he's clearly not above asking for help from agents and he has the audacity to expect the same reward. Despite his zealous loyalty to Stomach, he seems like the kind of person even Stomach dislike. Shows that there really are bad common Granutes who aren't just brainwashed by drugs. Crazy how Hanto seriously almost henshined to stop his pain, using the same thing that makes his pain worse. Can't just stay henshined as Dark Valen forever. Fortunately, he realized that would've been a terrible idea. I wonder if this is a metaphor for painkiller addiction. Same here. Sucks that we have to wait a whole fortnight then. I guess you could say next episode needs more time to bake. Quote:
I sure hope kids don't take Suga's "dark chocolate is bad for you" too literally. This show is being really mean to dark chocolate for no reason.

Upcoming reveal of the wolf in sheep's clothing.
I might be expressing a hot take, but I find Rakia changing his mind about not caring for humans earlier rather abrupt. Even though he has consistently had flashbacks of Comel in various situations. I don’t quite understand the difference between Shoma's attempts to appeal to him and those of Sachika and Koji, as Rakia seems to accept the gestures from the latter two but rejects Shoma’s. When Shoma talks about the joy of eating or human happiness, Rakia dismisses him. In contrast, when Sachika expresses a desire for everyone to be happy and Koji offers Rakia human food, he is more receptive. Otherwise, it does happen here that Sachika reveals her motivation to Rakia, wanting everyone, including Rakia, to be happy. I wish Rakia would connect this to the Granute part-timers’ work, which also aims to make humans happy, likely questioning about making people happy simply for its own sake, rather than for ulterior motives, like the part-timers, or likely have the show highlight how this reminds him about what Comel believes in (not about his fate). I feel it's something that is difficult to understand, even for normal humans, and Rakia's a fish out of water that doesn't understand them as he said. Koji's problem is an MOTW-related stuff yet mundane, where someone's account can be hacked for criminal activities, such as scamming money from devoted fans. It's fortunate that Koji's channel hasn’t faced significant backlash, despite the unsettling situation where he invited fans who subsequently went missing. If this matter is addressed, Sachika might need to continue helping Koji clear his name, just as she did with Shoma. I found Rakia surprisingly rational when dealing with Le Beet, which is great to have him point out that Comel wasn't a coward, but just a sweet kid. I'm tired of the idea that goodness equates to cowardice, a perspective also held by Shiro regarding Shinji and Tezuka's refusal to fight. It’s not just villains who hold this view; it’s shared by some others as well for real life. Rakia is also rational enough to try to dig into Le Beet's difference with Comel about working for the Stomach, ultimately considering him a lost cause due to his prideful allegiance. I think Shoma should've answered with how Hanto needs some time alone when Sachika asks if he has called him. I'm uncertain about the direction of Hanto distancing himself from the others, seemingly expressing resentment toward Shoma by continuing to use Chocold, which is a reckless decision. As usual, Gavv resolves things quickly, leading Hanto to discover that the Bitter Gavv clones are produced by Suga to serve him in the end. Quote:

I'm fed up about the common view of only blaming the "true villain" of the story and have everyone's blame deflected on them or think they aren't really bad. And he's not even the worst one among the part-timers I think; so far all the part timers are bad common Granutes, tbh, like Yard.
Yep, that's the feeling of every Super Hero Time fan right now.

![]() I probably wasn't too off-base saying I don't expect to call this two-parter a series highlight, but having seen the back-half now, I will say, I found myself quite impressed by all the little work it's doing. It's not a glamorous story, in the way big plot shakeups and shiny new toy debuts are, but the smaller scope of this one got me thinking that in a show like this, maybe those big important episodes are only able to knock it out of the park the way they do because of episodes like these that put in the effort to set up all the pieces where they need to be for those grand payoffs? Funnily enough, I can actually use Lakia himself to help explain what I mean. The last time Mouri wrote a script for this show, it was also a fairly inconsequential side adventure on the surface, but ten episodes later, it's already clear how well it fits into the overall structure of the narrative. Especially since, exactly like I suggested at the time, that story about a Granute pretending to defect was also the story that moved the show's actual Granute defector to the forefront, giving it that retrospective irony that'll make those episodes even more fun on a rewatch. I get similar vibes from everything happening with Lakia in these ones too. It's not making any immediate massive change to his character, but I see stuff like that scene of him clearly being a little taken aback by Sachika pointing out that he's also one of the people she wants to be happy, and I can already imagine Koumura running with that, and building it into something even more touching later down the line. And if she does end up doing that, it'll be because these two episodes were here to establish that relationship in the first place. At the end of the day, this is just a good Gavv story, plain and simple. While I can't say for sure exactly what overall ideas came from who, with the collaborative nature of these shows, you can kinda tell Mouri "gets it" when these ones are ultimately all about Lakia taking a step towards appreciating the people around him through helping a boy who finds happiness in life by sharing the joy of sweets with others. Put like that, I'm not sure why I'd ever want to rag on these ones for not being quite as exciting as some other episodes, because they absolutely embody the very sentimental nature of Gavv's storytelling, and that's one of my favorite things about this show. Again, it's all the little work here that all adds up by the end. I also appreciate that Hanto's story does in fact move those extra couple inches, and I *really* appreciate that they made sure to give Vram his own dou suru? moment before destroying his first monster of the week, spelling out the difference between the two of them instead of just taking it for granted that Lakia would kill people in the same position he was because he's a good guy now. Up and down, these ones are put together so solidly that the absence of PoppinGummy might seriously be the only complaint I can think of?

While the two parter isn't glamorous, it was a solid story that also throws in the plot reveal of Bitter Gavvs coming from Suga's closet and Suga being evil.
Not bad, Gavv, not bad.
