So Master Mode sacrifices Over Mode's power for speed, and it takes Shoma skillfully switching the two forms to overcome Lango's defense and defeat him. Somehow, I doubt the eldest Stomach sibling is dead, though his right eye is probably gone after being slashed by Shoma.
And next week is going to be interesting, as Hanto has finally found the Granute that kidnapped his mother, who seems to be remorseful of his past actions... Last edited by Eclipyon; 05-25-2025 at 04:45 AM.. |

So, when Jeeph leaked Lango's next target, I thought he was doing it to screw over Lango, due to the earlier scene of Lango being praised by the President. I guess it does make more sense to force Shouma into fighting Lango again so soon, but the way the prior scenes played out really made it feel like the former was what they were aiming for up until Jeep's reaction to Lango's death.
Speaking of, I doubt he's dead. They likely wouldn't have made a close up of his suit with a scarred eye for a single shot otherwise. But man, I really wish there was more to Lango, but he's just comically bad. He spent the first quarter of the show unaware of the plot, and the next sitting around doing nothing about it until he's overthrown by Jeep and Lizel. Despite the entire company being his siblings, he still shows no interest in them. Hating Shouma, trying to marry off Shiita and Jeeph when they couldn't keep quota, and only tolerating Nyelv because of his usefulness, so it's no surprise when everyone but Glotta betrays him. I can only hope Jeep becomes more interesting and Nyelv starts doing something. Oh yeah. Master Gavv. It's a'ight. I'm a sucker for super speed, so I dig it. I like it having to switch between Master and Over in order for it's punches to have any real impact, too. Still not in love with the design, though.

Jeebh shows Bocca the first batch of 1,000 units of Dark Snacks that are produced by using Lango Mango's method of kidnapping. He doesn't seem to like it when the one who Bocca commends for the result is not him, but Lango Mango. Liselle is trying to take credit for herself and Jeebh for simply delivering the products. Jeebh's petty jealousy of Lango Mango being credited by Bocca makes him ask Liselle where Lango Mango's next targets are, which means that Jeebh is planning to sabotage Lango Mango's next plan.
A news announcer says on TV that people disappeared today at Chizuru International Airport while the footage shows the interior of the same plane in episode 35 last week where Lango Mango kidnapped all the passengers, which means that the plane where Lango Mango executed his plan in episode 35 was parked at Chizuru International Airport. So yeah, like I elaborated last week in my 1st post in episode 35 thread here, that event happened at an international airport, yet there was no one on the ground at all! Let that sink in. That scene just felt too silent, hollow, and empty, just like the underlying story does. This story is sterile, hollow, and empty, both narratively and visually. This news about several cases of mass disappearances alert people not to gather at public places, including Sachika who is planning to take Ritsu to UMA's live show at the Nagihama Aqua Hall. In the flashback scene @ 01:16, it's revealed that Hanto is reminded when he (an Lage 9) actually heard Lango Mango's cheap trash talk line that he uttered toward Shouma in episode 35 which said, "It was a mistake that you were born.", not "Father always hated you, Aka Gabu!" like I hypothesized last week in my 1st post in episode 35 thread, though both would've served the same function as cheap trash talks, haha. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Gavv 36 @ 01:30 ![]() Hanto says @ 02:03 that he thinks it's better if the information about the existence of the Granutes/Stomach's part-timers is spread to the public. He thinks it's better if the public knows the truth clearly because it'd make people become more cautious, to which both Shouma and Lage 9 agree. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, it's episode 36 already, and like I've said for the umpteenth time since my post in episode 14 thread here, the Tokyo police department still can't connect the dots at all after everything that has happened in the last 20(!) years? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In the scene @ 05:00 Lage 9 is visiting Dente to ask about the neutralizer for his hApPiNeSs neurotoxin which was copied by Lango Mango and his crews, but Dente says that it's impossible to create such a thing in such a short time. Instead of making a neutralizer, Dente made an unknown device. What's that device? In the scene @ 05:26 Hanto is doomscrolling (haha ![]() ![]() ![]() Meanwhile, Shouma is testing his Stomach power on pretty much very single door in Tokyo (haha ![]() ![]() ![]() In the next scene @ 06:49 Shouma is showing that piece of paper (that contains texts in Granute letters) to Hanto, Lage 9, and Sachika. Aaaaannnnnddddd... Pretty much like I hypothesized in my 1st post in episode 35 thread here, Shouma says @ 06:55 that the text says that Lango Mango's next target is the Nagihama Aqua Hall where UMA is planned to perform live today. So, this is how Jeebh is sabotaging Lango Mango's plan like I mentioned earlier in the 1st paragraph. Just as Hanto is wondering if it's even possible to stop UMA's live show, Ritsu comes in and brings home all the finished fan stuffs. Sachika and Shouma are trying to warn Ritsu not to go to there. They say it's dangerous for Ritsu to go to public places where many people are gahering. Ritsu, being a hardcore UMA fan, is obviously not discouraged and decides to stiull go there. She says UMA's music has really encouraged her during tough times. Several moments later, Shouma is still feeling down and be reminded of Lango Mango's trash talks, so Hanto is trying to comfort Shouma by showing him several words of encouragement he finds from social media from several people who were helped by Shouma as a Kamen Rider, including the mom of Hajime (the kid of the week in episodes 1-2). Hanto is crediting Shouma as the one who saved those people, and those posts manage to encourage and convince Shouma that there are still people who believe in him. UMA is to Ritsu, like those people are to Shouma. Soooooooooooooooooooooo yeah, my hypothesis in my 2nd post in episode 35 thread 12 hours ago here about Shouma being reassured and encouraged by the other protagonists after feeling down due to having been trash talked by Lango Mango is proven to be 100% correct in this scene. In the scene @ 10:19 Glotta is voicing her concern to Lango Mango that kidnapping humans in such a massive scale would frighten humans and decrease the number of the Hito Presses. She's worried that Stomach corporation's prosperity would be jeopardized. Lango Mango convinces her that the most important thing to do right now is fulfilling the target specified by Bocca, so it means that Lango Mango is confidently going all in with his plan. In the scene @ 10:19 UMA's live show today is about to begin. Sachika is giving a ticket to each of Shouma, Hanto, and Lage 9 where they're planning to enter the venue as audience to patrol inside. Suddenly, the audience inside the venue were gassed by Nyelv's weird-looking smoke gun and are tranquilized by the gaseous copy of Lage 9's hApPiNeSs neurotoxin. Lage 9 then unveils Dente's new invention, which are *drum roll* *wait for it* *drum roll* *wait for it* *drum roll* friggin' gas masks(!). I get that Shouma and Hanto need to wear gas masks, but Lage 9? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Lango Mango enters the building @ 13:43 to clean up the mess created by the Riders and encounters Shouma. Lango Mango is still trying to trash talk Shouma to break his spirit, but Shouma (who was encouraged by the protagonists and the people who believed in and thanked him in social media earlier) has found a brand new resolve that enables him to... *drum roll* *wait for it* *drum roll* *wait for it* *drum roll* Modify the Gochipod RG and thus allows him to transform into KR Gavv Gochipod form Master Mode, once again, exactly like I hypothesized in my 2nd post in episode 35 thread 12 hours ago here. Sooooooo predictable! Another thing that irks me about episodes 35-36 is the fact that Lango Mango is sooooooooooo half-hearted in trash talking Shouma. He merely said "It was a mistake that you were born." He should've said a combination of "You're nothing because your mom was just a sex slave for my father." and "Father always hated you, Aka Gabu!" (like I hypothesized last week in my post in episode 35 thread), because those things are actually true. Shouma's mom was a Bouche's sex slave, and Bouche very likely hated Shouma and his mom because he did very very very severely abuse them. Why the heck Lango Mango only go for a cheap trash talk such as "It was a mistake that you were born", while he can go all the way in and tell Shouma all the inconvenient and even painfully obvious facts about him and his mom? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'd have skipped on elaborating on the fight scenes between Shouma/KR Gavv Gochipod form Master Mode vs Lango Mango (and also the fight scenes between Hanto/KR Valen and Lage 9/KR Vram vs the agents and the part-timers), but I can't help but notice how sterile all those fight scenes are. They all fight just outside of a concert hall, a very very very public place in Tokyo of all places, yet there are no other people there aside from those characters! There are huge commotions and explosions around the concert hall, and no other people show up, at least out of curiousity? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Lage 9/KR Vram's Vrastum Gear is malfunctioning and is visibly damaged @ 19:30. Perhaps it'd have something to do with his upgrade/final form that may or may not have also something to do with Glotta who could be the one who assassinated Komel. Shouma/KR Gavv Gochipod form Master Mode damages Lango Mango's face (eyes?) @ 20:44, before kicking him to oblivion @ 21:03. Due to how Lango Mango's face (eyes?) was damaged several moments ago, and combined with the fact that no actual proof of death, there's quite a high chance (>50 %) that Lango Mango is still alive, only mentally damaged. I think he'd return in future episodes, perhaps as the post-final villain after Bocca (who is the most likely candidate for the final villain) is defeated in the last 1 or 2 episodes. I'd like to reiterate my 2nd point in my 2nd post in episode 35 thread 12 hours ago here: "- The one who actually killed Shouma's mom at the beginning of episode 1 was not Lango Mango, but Glotta who brutally broke her Hito Press, so there could be a slight chance that Lango Mango would not be killed after being defeated by Shouma in his debut as KR Gavv Gochipod form Master Mode. There's a possibility that the defeated Lango Mango would run away and devise a new plan to retaliate on Shouma, probably working with (or even begging help from) Bocca and or Nyelv, though there's another possibility that Lango Mango would repent all his crimes and even end up opposing Bocca behind the scenes to regain control of Stomach corporation. On the other hand, Shita was also not the one who actually killed Shouma's mom, but she was still killed by Shouma in episode 14 when he debuted as KR Gavv Caking form, so I'm not sure about this hypothesis, haha. ![]() - Bocca was featured more prominently on the latest poster, so yeah, he's very likely the final villain of this story." So yeah, like I hypothesized in my post in episode 34 here, KR Gavv Gochipod form Master Mode does debut in episode 36, and Lango Mango is the first punching bag, haha. ![]() ![]() 1. Appears strong and intimidating in initial episodes. 2. Stands on the sideline, does nothing, and contributes almost nothing to the organization. 3. Knows virtually nothing about other characters' moves/schemes. 4. Makes utterly stupid decisions in order to move the uber-convoluted plot. 5. Debuts his full kaijin form and overwhelms the protagonists. 6. Be unceremoniously defeated for the first time on the very next episode after debuting his full kaijin form. 7. Be humiliated due to the first defeat. 8. Returns to the story as a post-final villain or pre-final villain to take revenge on the protagonist (and or the final villain). 9. Be unceremoniously defeated for the second time (by the protagonist and or the final villain). 10. Dies. What a dumb, weak villain Lango Mango is, haha. ![]() ![]() ![]() In the scene @ 21:36 Jeebh is visibly shocked when he sees that Lango Mango is unceremoniously defeated. He's just realized that his petty jealousy toward Lango Mango is a big mistake that creates a serious problem, so it's very likely episodes 37-38 is his turn to get his ass kicked by Shouma/KR Gavv Gochipod form Master Mode, haha. ![]() ![]() Oh, and is Ritsu gonna stay until this story ends, or is she gonna disappear yet again? Based on the preview scene, it seems very likely that she's gonna vanish from the story again, haha. ![]() Next week: Sachika and Shouma are eating at a traditional Japanese snack restaurant owned by an old man, and a kid (his son?) is serving there. In the next scene, Hanto is introduced to the snack restaurant owner (very likely by Sachika and Shouma) where he's seemingly interviewing the owner who confides that he has done something unforgivable. In the last preview scene, the elusive wolf Granute finally shows up after went missing for 18 years. Like I hypothesized a long, long time ago in my post in episode 25 here, the elusive wolf Granute was very likely not Kid Shouma (let alone Kid Shouma in berserk mode), but was actually just a lowly part-timer who was ordered by Bouche/Lango/Glotta/Nyelv to kidnap humans as usual. Based on this preview section, it seems very likely that the snack restaurant owner is the elusive wolf Granute, and he has already cleaned himself up, reformed, and turned his life around to be a productive member of the human society, and perhaps even having a family with a human(?) woman and having a son (the kid earlier?) with her. The moral/ethical dilemma for Hanto could be whether he should kill him in order to fulfill his revenge or let him alive because he has his own family to feed, also because he's a reformed criminal. Dente and several other Stomach family members have said that Dark Snack addiction is virtually impossible to cure, but in the snack restaurant owner/the elusive wolf Granute's case, perhaps his addiction was gradually cured mostly due to the love and moral support from his human(?) wife. Him assuming his full Granute form could probably make him relapse, as the feral appearance of the elusive wolf Granute indicated that his addiction level was severe. This hypothesis creates one hard question, though: If the snack restaurant owner/the elusive wolf Granute has indeed cleaned himself up and defected from Stomach corporation, then how the heck has he been able to evade Stomach's agents and goons? ![]() ![]() ![]() Jeebh is fighting Shouma/KR Gavv Blizzardsorbet. Is he just using his Granute form, or is he going to ask Nyelv to equip him with a Henshin Belt Bitter Gavv as well, just like Magen? Mmmmmaaaaayyyyybbbbbeeeee... |

Master Mode is much more reminiscent of the final form, both because of its more spectacular debut and because it follows Reiwa's principle: "the final form resembles the base form." But Shouma's victory is still due to the clever alternation of Master and Over Mode, strength and speed. It is worth remembering that the show has repeatedly emphasized the weakness and vulnerability of its main character, so a form like Hyper Muteki would be inappropriate for Gavv. I also can't avoid comparisons with last year's Iron and Platinum Gotchard. Although here there was a reversal. If Over Mode is created by the joint efforts of Shouma's loved ones and is therefore a force that he cannot handle on his own, then Master is the result of his own maturation and confidence. Yes, someone may not like that everyone is doing Gochizo, but they are the new adult part of Shouma that appeared after he escaped from Stomatch's captivity.
Vram also lost his Gochizo Pudding and Driver, meaning Denta's update came just in time. Overall, since Shouma is showing confidence in this episode, the role of reflective rider has fallen to Lakia. Temporarily, of course. Hanto suggests an interesting idea with revealing some information about the Granutes, in order to protect civilians. Unfortunately, this leads to the weakest point of the episode, where the stated negativity towards the riders is resolved exactly one scene later. This is just bad writing. I'm actually willing to assume that the scene with the negativity towards the riders due to Bitter Gavv's antics should have happened a few episodes earlier, but it was cut and now the plot is quickly patched together. But the result still looked ridiculous. The operation to protect the concert should have been better prepared and implemented, but it is worth remembering that in this show the riders do not have the support of an organization and none of them were even members of such. So some clumsiness of the actions is justified and even necessary. Another thing is that yes, a little more Agents and Granuts and everything would have ended very badly. But, as the scene with the girlfriend clearly shows, these heroes are guided primarily by their hearts. And sometimes only by them. In Stomatch Inc., everyone uses each other. Glotta has already lost all her dominatrix vibe and looks like she secretly cries a lot. Or she just can't sleep. The next episode teases a duel between the desperate Jeebh and Shouma. Apparently, the remaining twin has no choice: Liesel will not kill Gavv because it will make her husband happier, and therefore less attractive to her. So the only way to make her fight against Shouma: it will endanger the life of Jeebh, whom she values and does not want to lose. Also, Hanto will meet the Granute Wolf, who kidnapped his mother. I think we'll finally find out why he had a white red Gavv. Considering that Hanto's mother was killed by Lango, maybe this will be an attempt to humanize Granute on a part-time job. That is, the message could be: "Take revenge on me and free me from the captivity of Dark Snacks, because I myself am too weak." Or maybe this is all just my imagination and Wolf will turn out to be another Ripper, mocking the loss of a rider. P.S. Also as a theory: what if Stomatch Siblings die/lose after telling a flashback about their relationship with Shouma? At least this is true for Shita and Lango. |

Okay so this was the actual final form debut, got it. Yeah this worked much better. The dialogue was on point and Lango is a much better enemy to face than random rich guy.
Action was really cool and I like the suit, looks like an evolved base form. Gotta say though, for how much I enjoyed this – super speed and super strength forms aren’t the most original thing ever, not even in tandem. Especially after Master Mode stated pulling out the Pringlesaber and the Milkarevolver I was like – come on, not this again. Why are these powers so generic AF. Would’ve enjoyed it much more if they evolved Shouma into someone who likes creating sweets instead of just eating them and the final form was a chef patisserie with an emphasis on creation as its power. And then make stuff we hadn’t before, like a chocolate zweihander, a pretzel stick spear or a marshmallow morning star. Can’t blame them for taking the safe choices that work and are easy to fit into your fighting choreographies, but still, I would’ve liked to see something a bit more unique. |

As usual in this atrocious story, there's a very weird thing in the flashback scene @ 01:30, where Hanto and Lage 9 are shown to be at quite a far distance (about 8-10 m) from Shouma and Lango Mango. So, if Hanto and Lage 9 were at quite a far distance (about 8-10 m) from Shouma and Lango Mango, then how the heck wer they able to hear Lango Mango's cheap trash talk, which was even severely obscured by the roaring engine of the passing plane?

Final form's real debut.
Rather wish that Ritsu's desire to be happy was emphasized more by both Shoma and Sachika, despite their obvious concern for her participating in the U.M.A concert, a crowded event, to highlight that happiness can be more important than just being safe and protected, and happiness is their goal, with Sachika knowing that Shoma, Hanto, and Rakia are Riders. I'd also wish for Sachika to also talk about protecting people from the threat of disappearance, as per her goal to make everyone happy. Bitter Gavv arc made people start to hate Kamen Riders. However, it's short-lived, like Revice ep. 39, where civilians quickly began to support the Riders again. This shift included Ritsu, who had previously been afraid of Gavv, unlike Sachika. This allowed Shoma to utilize Master Gavv, as he felt proud of his experiences and achievements in the human world. Still, this isn't a good look for the Granute World, regarding Lango's talk about the "might makes right" philosophy that prevails there. Turns out that Over Gavv IS strong enough to harm Lango, even though he had previously struggled to break through Lango's force field. Master Gavv is the fast type, blitzing through the battlefield, but it follows the stereotype of speedsters being less strong. However, Gavv can switch to his final forms during the fight, compensating for each other’s weaknesses. He's too fast for Lango to catch while transitioning to Over Gavv when his attacks connect, ultimately managing to defeat Lango after his overwhelming debut just one episode earlier. It’s unclear whether Lango is truly killed at the end of the episode, as he took a finishing move and exploded. Regardless, this situation does not reflect well on Jeebh. Although he may have gotten his revenge on Lango, the fact remains that the individual who defeated Lango is still his enemy. Lizel's pettiness is evident in her tantrum over the praise given to her subordinates. The cracks in her relationship with Jeebh will likely be revealed in the next episode. Quote:

Honestly, the emotional core of the episode would’ve landed better if the public fearing Shoma for supposedly looking hideously monstrous (Seriosuly, I’ve run away from more scary looking regular people than GAVV”s forms, and one of them was related to me) and he actions of his doppelg?nger were more than one epsidoe things that got ignored immediately.
Though I do like that Master GAVV doesn’t have any drawbacks that render it worse than useless, like Blizzardsorbei and Over GAVV. We might actually get some decent use out of the suit until the finale. |
