Godzilla anime's can be hit and miss and not sure how to feel about an anime MC channeling Godzilla...but I'll wait and see more.

I'm sorry but I just find this idea to be incredibly stupid. I don't know why Toho keeps overthinking Godzilla in anime format, but it's getting embarrassing that the only genuine straightforward kaiju anime adaptations we've had are a Gamera miniseries with the animation budget of an average local TV commercial, and an Ultraman series from almost 50 years ago.

I was joking about this since Singular Point, and now Toho does EXACTLY that!

Honestly, I'm intrigued. I'll take this over whatever Tsuburaya did with the Ultra Kaiju Girls (twice), especially since this looks like the Shounen Trash that's right up my alley.

But also, I feel like this has the potential to be the "Godzilla Anime" that people want? Since most people didn't like the previous two outings, this one feels like that Kaiju Slugfest some of us have been dying to see from Toho. Maybe not in the form we wanted, but I'm willing to see where this goes!

But on another note, Godzilla Galaxy Odyssey is a fun Manga that I think will be more to folks' preference.

While I love the recent iteration of Jet Jaguar from a year or two ago, this, judging by this image alone, feels a lot like Toho trying to make their version of Kaiju No. 8.
